I have loved La Carreta since I was a little girl. Usually going with my family for the late night, tostadas with cafe con leche and the occasional croqueta. Best cuban sandwiches and media noches in town!

Always come here when we are in Miami, good food, great service and fair pricing! Always finish dinner with a smooth cortadito.

Always go here when in Miami. I believe this has become my favorite for cuban food now over other local places. Service is usually good, but I know sometimes in South Florida service can be slower than what most people are used to so dont ever be in a hurry. I am on vacation when I visit and usually have... Visited here during a day trip to Miami and visited in this restaurant on the advice of the tour guide. It was pretty average looking and actually could have done with a clean. We were seated and the service was slow and a little indifferent, odd, when the service everywhere else we had eaten was attentive and enthusiastic. The waitress... More

La Carreta may be lacking in ambiance, but the food is amazing. The dishes all celebrate a unique cuisine that's melded influences from the island, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. If you're anywhere close make a point of at least stopping by for a cafe cubano.

We try to visit La Carreta when in town, being a longtime South Florida establishment but this time will be our last. Service in La Carreta is not the most friendly, and those who travel to S. Florida often know this but somehow the food, flavor and value compensate for it but it was a total disappointment this visit. We... More

First time here, I just wanted to have authentic cuban food. The first time I had picadillo with rice, black beans and yellow plantains. Taste was good, not salty like other places I have been before. The tres leches cake was decadent! I went a second time the next day and had moro rice with roasted pork, but kinda surprised... More

It ain't fancy and they don't speak much English, but the food is cheap, absolutely delicious, there's plenty of it, and the staff is very friendly (and accommodating for us non-Spanish speakers).

Wow! The staff at LaCarreta was awesome. The food was delicious and the dessert was to die for. I got the ceviche, paella, sweet plantains, sangria, cheese flan, and Cortadito. I spent quite a bit but it was worth it (approx. $30). I crave cortadito all the time now!!! New obsession!
