Had dinner and the food and service were friendly in English or Spanish...just keep in mind the menu is Cubano and very diverse. Nice place to have dinner after shopping at the mall.

This is defiantly a must for your late night eats adventure. It has been a local staple and watering hole for every local in the Miami metro area. You can never go wrong with any of the selections or daily specials they offer. All the cuisine is truly fantastic and have that Latin Sabor!!!! I can honestly say I have... More

I cannot eat in a building that is at least 50 years old, the whole shopping plaza is old - the left hand corner used to be 7 Eleven, with Grand Union across the street. La Carreta's building used to be a LUMS and then something else, and finally for years became La Carreta. I never liked the food, the... More

We visit this La Carreta location on every visit to Miami for authentic Cuban food and some of the best cuban coffee in Miami. Outside by the coffee bar you can have an expresso coffee or cortadito. Top those off with croquettes or a pastelito made of guayaba and you are set with a quick snack any time of the... More

A great way to start the day. Outstanding cafe con leche. Superb service. The setting is a bit tired, nothing fancy, but the breakfast hit the spot, and the service from Lourdes could not have been nicer. Quick and efficient, pleasant & friendly.

While it's not as good as it used to be, it is still a taste of home. I stopped in for take out late one evening and ordered a little of everything (no meat as we're vegetarians)... plantains, yuca frita, boiled yuca, pan cubano, frijoles negros con arroz, pastelitos... YUM! I do remember the servings being bigger in the past... More

Great chain of Cuban restaurants all over Miami and at the airport. Get your fix of excellent and cheap Cuban food, very popular with the locals and tourists alike. Don't miss trying STRONG Cuban coffee..my favorite the COLADA (or a CORTADITO for those who prefer with milk). Beats Starbucks any day!

This plaza is perfect for typical simple Cuban delights. It didn't earn 5 stars this time because we went I'm the morning and asked for croquetas and pastelitos and they were stale. They tasted as if they had been there for a long while. Overall this place usually is great.

This is my neighborhood restaurant, that everybody know my name. I like most everything they make. I go for coffee at least four times a week, with croquetas. The Cuban food sandwiches, steaks, and most of their food is truly in the Cuban tradition. It's always full, but service is great, friendly and pretty fast. Enjoy!

Seriously, I love this place. It's been several years since I came to Miami and had dinner at La Carreta and other than the prices it is like time has stood still. The food is A.m.a.z.i.n.g. !!!!! Yes, it's that good, that authentic, that local, that flavorful, that delicious. It's also weird because I think there are people still working... More
