What does a nondescript strip mall in Miami have in common with the world's largest fish market in Tokyo? Excellent sushi.
Unlike sushi restaurants bordering Tsukiji, however, Matsuri also offers a variety of teriaki, tempura, meat, seafood, tofu, and noodle dishes, and a good selection of soups and salads. Special Lunch Box choices provide an excellent introduction -- miso soup,...

We went for dinner with my sister, brother-in-law and niece who lived very near and love sushi. They had never been. We tried many things on the menu and they were all excellent. Some great rolls and the fried soft shell crab was fantastic. Will definitely be back when next in Miami! The service was also excellent and the restaurant...

This has been the best sushi restaurant in Miami for the last 17 years. Other more "fashionable" places are found in Miami, but this is hands on the best sushi. Staff is good and ambience very agreable.
Super fresh, excellent quality food. The flavor profiles are spot on. I had one dish that was very good, but heavy handed on the mayo style sauce, which was the tuna bagette. The sea urchin was excuisite as was the toro. The roll, invitation to the white house was Excellent. I look forward to going back!

Since its spike in popularity a few years back, it does get quite crowded, so do plan ahead and either go early for lunch or dinner, or just reserve a table. I personally prefer coming here...
