We were a party of 6. We really enjoyed the free appetizer with crackers. Almost as much as the fresh fish. We ate inside, although the patio looked lovely right on the river. It really has a local feel. So glad we choose Garcia's for our last meal in Miami.

Have not been to Garcia's in many years and decided to have late lunch/early dinner there yesterday. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor, and there is both inside/outside options for dining. The outdoor terrace gives you a great view of the river, but not in late afternoon August!!!! We got there around 4:30 and the place was pretty empty.... More

Located in a structure on the Miami River's newly gentrifying area, it has an old fashioned flavor, fresh fish, and reasonable prices, right next door to new and really expensive Sea Salt and Pepper.

The servings are generous. We loved sitting outside. The staff were friendly, cordial, polite and did not rush us during our dinner.

Eating here is casual and local, and the fish is fresh. That's a fishing boat parked right outside! Pay attention to the specials of the day, or just order the grouper sandwich. And oysters on the half shell: outstanding, briny and cold. Sitting outdoors upstairs under the overhang with a canvas deflecting the rain on a steamy day and watching... More

Our family of 7 went on 07/23/2014 to celebrate our mother’s birthday (she loves seafood) and this was a place I had read good reviews. What not a good surprise for a place with this reputation. Food has good taste but very high price $18.00 for only 5 medium shrimps (they call it jumbo) and white rice, pricy!!! Our waiter... More

Want fresh off the boat Mahi Mahi and Grouper at a good price with a view of the river? Garcia's has it for you. Parking not always easy, but there is complimentary valet. Sit outside upstairs or downstairs (I prefer downstairs) and enjoy the river as boats and cargo vessels go by. The Mojitos are good and the fish spread... More

(Dinner 7-12-14) I was looking to take a friend to dinner for her birthday and she doesn't eat red meat so a quality seafood place was in mind. I had read good reviews of Garcia's over the years including in the recent New Times Best of Miami. I knew parking would be an issue as I had driven by the... More
