Nice restaurant near downtown Miami

Ate lunch here while working in Miami. They provide a fish spread with all meals. The food was very good. I had the grilled shrimp platter with two sides for &18.00, Location is very nice and there is outside seating along the canal. Waiter was very attentive and friendly. I would eat here... read more

The hostess said to expect a 20 minute wait which turned into 50 minutes. We sat at the bar while waiting for an outdoor table but there was no bartender and we were not served...neither was anyone else at the bar who was waiting to be seated. Once seated we again waited to have a drink order taken and then... More

We tried Garcia's on the recommendation of a family member while traveling in Miami. Since Garcia's is a restaurant and a fresh fish market (which we did not know), upon entering, the first thing we saw was the fish market. Raw fish and a crowd of people waiting to buy their fish did not give one the best restaurant feeling.... More

Looking for Stone Crabs, but Joe's always had a 2 hour wait for Dinner. Found this place, while probably very different from Joe's, we had our stone crabs in a casual environment with some very good other seafood.

this place is a little rustic, on a river that fisherman use. the stone crab claws were as good as Joe's. where this place excels is in the other options. fresh grilled whole snapper, great souls and sides. joes is more traditional and has the same poring menu for 80 years. this place is less expensive, better views, and way... If you would like to eat seafood as locals do, a visit to Garcia’s should be on your list. Located in the Miami River since 1966, this family owned and operated restaurant serves fresh seafood, some afternoons you may even see them unloading the catch of the day from their own boats. In the first floor you find the fish... More

We heard about this place on No Reservations show w/Anthony Bordain. When we came to Miami that was one place we wanted to go. Garcia's did not disappoint! The ceviche was amazing! Next came to seafood creole w/ rice and green plaintains, delicious! Finished off with a piece of key lime pie! Portion size was perfect and the service was... More

We were looking for a great fish place downtown. While the service as excellent and is very friendly, the food is only , OK. We have had many better meals in town since we arrived. Fish was a little tough, sauce was too creamy. Just nothing noteworthy in our meal at all.

Access by land or boat. Street or valet parking. Cuban food worth the visit. Sit inside or outside and listen to the sounds of the boats going up the river at lunch. Excellent dinner hideaway. Consistently delicious from year to year. No noise factor inspite of tile floors.

This is a family owned restaurant where Luis the owner, has followed his father's footsteps by providing the best quality of seafood for their customers. You can enjoy a great lunch or dinner inside or outside by the terrace while overlooking the Miami River. For those looking for great seafood and a friendly Sports bar, you can enjoy your meal...
