Visited this establishment with relatives from out of town for a fine Cuban meal and everyone was very impressed with the quality of the food. Service was lacking and had to ask various times to have my water glass refilled. If you don't mind this small issue then I fully recommend it. The food is fresh and plentiful and for... More

Ask for Lazaro! He's the best waiter I've ever had....and I'm 53 years old. Tell him David and Marie recommended him. The place has great food. Lazaro is there Mon - Sat after 6 pm.

Friends brought me to this restaurant on recent work trip to Miami. Extensive menu and although it seemed to be very busy, service was great. Shrimp in garlic sauce was tasty and grilled chicken, steak, and sausage was fantastic. This place may have the best black beans I've ever tasted. Would definitely recommend!

Almost every time I spend the night at the GF's families house in Miami we end up at Islas for breakfast. Their bistec a caballo is amazing. You get a nice sized piece of palomilla meat topped with sautéed onions and served with eggs cooked your way, Cuban toast and coffee. Add in a couple of croquettas de jamon and... More

Met some friends for lunch. Chicken salad sandwich was good. The club sandwich on Cuban bread was skimpy on meat. Ham in the sandwich was nothing but fat. Luncheon steak was good and portion was adequate. Service is fair. Price is average.

Good Cuban food and the atmosphere is really Cuban (every employee here is Cuban). The portions are generous, prices are low, and this place is famous for its ham croquetas. If you don’t know Spanish, I suggest you take a Spanish-Speaking friend. Don’t go thru the Drive-Thru (You will spend 30+ mins in the drive-thru). This place is out in... More

This restaurant is very well-known by the Cuban community in the area. It is not located on the famous Eight Street (Calle Ocho) in Little Habana. It is way out there in the suburb, close to Kendall. I know of people that come all the way from Miami Beach or even Key Biscayne to enjoy their famous croquettes (croquetas). The... More

Here is a place you will always return to....Good portion's of home made tasty food. Cuba at heart but some different dishes offered on the menu. I suggest anything "Sea- Food. " Or try their " Ropa Vieja ". Very reasonable and family orientated place with cloth table cloth's and napkin's with a pleasant atmosphere. The staff are great! Always... More

I feel very lucky to live within blocks from this restaurant. They have a great menu and everything I've tried from breakfast to dinner is good. Breakfast I mostly enjoy the Desayuno Gallego. One of my favorite restaurants to go to with my wife and family that happens to be a minute away from my home!
