My girlfriend and I had to order 5 different things between the two of us because the menu was SOOO amazing! Loved everything we tried and can not wait to go back!

This is a great little restaurant perfect for power lunches or dining with friends. On my latest visit we sat at the small bar and ordered Shrimp and Grits to share (organic cheddar grits/large prawns) and it was delicious. We also split the soft tacos...yummy warm tortillas with fantastic guac, grilled chicken, caramelized onion, pico. Only thing missing ... they... More

Some friends and I went here for drinks after dinner, though the menu almost made us wish we had saved a little room to eat there! The drinks we had were great, very inventive and not what you'd necessarily expect at an oyster bar. Great draft beer selection also! I would definitely go back for drinks and probably to eat... Went to the River Oyster Bar with a business associate. Arrived before 7 pm without a reservation but was still promptly seated. I suggest calling ahead for a reservation. It is not a large place by Miami standards, maybe 20 tables or so. Since it was before 7pm it was happy hour , half price oysters and draft beer. The oysters... More

We went to river oyster bar on a Thursday night around nine pm. Without a reservation, we were told there was a 45 minute wait for a table (a woman waiting for her take home order assured us it was worth the wait). So we made a friend at the bar who was more than willing to help us order... More

We went for happy hour oysters. Such a great deal. Oysters were fresh and tasty. Drink specials weren't that great. We got some bar snacks...The short rib tacos were good, but very dainty. Extremely dainty. I can't comment on the meals here since we only had beers, oysters, and bar snacks. Our bill wasn't sticker shock and we were happy... More

Everyone recommended this place from strangers we met in France to the concierge at our hotel. We like the look of the place. We liked the menu and liked the wine list. Then all the liking stopped. Our server introduced herself and promptly disappeared. Drinks took 20 minutes to appear, the first course another 20 and by the time we... More

Been here twice, not by choice. The firs time the waiter was clueless, brought us a warm white wine and was more annoyed to be working than anything else. The second time sat at the bar, served by a very nice bartender/waiter. Large portions - food was hot this time and one could taste the wine before committing to buy.... More

My wife and I went to the Oyster Bar based on the TripAdvisor recommendations and we were very disappointed. We ordered two oysters each as appetizer and two main courses. I had a tuna steak with asparagus and my wife had some fish. When the tuna steak came, it was TINY!!! 1/8 pound, if that! Literally, it was 4 bites,... More
