Food is excellent. Went there for our 9th wedding anniversary. I had the wild mushroom coated black grouper while my wife had the wahoo. Both excellent. While not cheap, I've been to more expensive resataurants that could not compare to the quality and variety at the River Oyster Bar.

Visited this restaurant for the first time on a business trip to Miami. The atmosphere was great...primarily locals & young professionals, great bar & cool understated vibe. Nice menu with raw bar items, small plates & interesting entree selections. Matt & Sean, the two bartenders, were friendly, knowledgeable about the menu & wine selection, & consumate professionals who enhanced the... More

Everytime that we have been there food have been out of this world. I particularly recommend all the Oysters, shrimp wrap in bacon, basil and barbecue sauce. For entree I recommend Snapper with Ginger, best in town!! Service impecable and ambiance always great.

We had the best oysters and fish based meal in ages! Good selection of wines. Excellent desserts. You can also just go for drinks at the bar and enjoy the nice crowd.

After being in the restaurant business for over 20 years it is hard to find a place to actually sink in and relax. What a treat to be able to dine out and not have one thing after another annoy me. From the pleasant professional greeting to the food and service...OUTSTANDING!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for the selection... More

We walked around for quite a while in this neighborhood, but after seeing the many new places in the hopping new area of the city found the River Oyster Bar. It was full, but we could walk right in and had a great meal. It was fun to see other eating "oysters" in huge platters, though we were strictly non-oyster... More

Wow. I love great food, and this is the goods. We were in Miami for only 1 + 3 nights total, and ate good to great food in 3 locations. The Cioppini at The River was spectacular, and the oysters were delicious and fresh. Great service, understated yet classy atmosphere. I love to find places where it's all so well... More

Most who come to The River Seafood & Oyster Bar are attracted to one of the best raw bars in Miami that serves a wide array of East and West Coast oysters . Others are drawn to the upscale tavern setting and the small plates and reasonably priced menu of entrees that showcase seafood and meat preparations. The rest of... More

This is much more than an oyster bar. We walked in, drawn by the buzzing atmosphere of this crowded, stylish bar, and were lucky to get a table right away. We didn't even notice the oysters on the menu at first and ordered salmon tartare, salad with smoked mahi-mahi, rabbit stew with pasta and fava beans and "key lime cheese... More
