A gem

This restaurant is romantic and calming. The oysters grilled were delicious as well as the clams. The staff is pretty laid back as well. Parking is for a fee in the back of the restaurant.

I'm a New England snob and didn't believe I could get good oysters in Florida. Wrong! I had Wellfleet oysters, Nova Scotia oysters, Connecticut oysters and more...And they were incredible. Half priced at Happy Hour until 7pm, I had a dozen and a half premium oysters for $27- unheard of! I also did the ceviche "mixto"- grouper, lobster, and shrimp--to... More

Always a winner. What a welcoming environment serving of course the freshest oysters around but also culinary creations to make your mouth water; i.e. the duck tacos and Ribs. Stop in for a Pint and some oysters and you'll be glad you did. Also an amazing staff to help you navigate your way around the menu.

If you like oysters, this is the place to go. Had also a seared Tuna, which was delicious, also have a really nice selection of local tap beer.

I’m not a huge fan of cooked fish (I love smoked, pickled and raw); however, restaurants like River Oyster Bar remind how amazing fish could be if cooked properly. Not only have they prepared a perfectly cooked meal every time I’ve gone, but their bartenders make perfect classic cocktails, like the old fashioned. I suggest that anyone not really into... More

The food was very good -- raw tuna, grilled octopus, crab legs, wonderful desserts -- but the noise from the people at the bar was so loud that it was hard to carry on a conversation.

We love to go to this place for happy hour! It's a great find right on the river. The food is fresh and the seafood selection is great!

Bar is main area and seems to be the focus of the premises/business. Regulars clearly having drinks and light food at the bar. Fun to watch them come and go. Less than 25% filled when we arrived for our 6:30 reservation. (Never filled more than 50% when we left at 7:45 so sending us to "table 48" didn't make any... More

A great location which is frequented by locals rather than tourists. Very busy place so booking definitely recommended. I ordered half the menu all of which was fantastic, blue crab and black truffle gnocchi amazing.

KW was in town to visit and I had a long laundry list of places to visit. River Oyster Bar sounded like our type of place. It didn't disappoint. Matt, was looking after us as we dined at the bar. We had delicious oysters, shrimp cocktail, gorgeous cocktails made with precision and care. Then we had the bronzino baked in... More
