From Great to Good

This used to be my favorite restaurant in Miami and it still has great food. It's just they raised the prices. The food was good, for the items we selected. But I've seen better menus that they have offered.

We went for the first time tonight and in general I can say that it was average-good but expensive. 25$ average per dish plus beverages. We had hight expectations about the place and the food but... GOOD: Place is nice Staff is great BAD: Very noisy We had three main dishes: MUSSELS are superb, after that we ate MAHI MAHI... More

Unassuming outside but don't be put off. Nice decor and stunning food. Began with octopus starter, then on to grilled snapper and finished with a coconut sorbet. All excellent.

Amidst the construction there sits a little jewel. Specializing in oysters and a variety of fish mainly from central and South America. The chopped salad is filled with vegetables and the dressing was so good. We shared one between the two of us. The corn bread on the bread plate was delicious. We had seconds. We had grouper with lemon... More

The River Seafood & Oyster Bar is a Brickell-area restaurant (disguised as a neighborhood joint) serving consistent excellent seafood. Drinks, service, food, and very nice casual ambiance make for a great dinning experience. My single favorite (must try!) item on the menu is their Gnocchi & Bluecrab entree -- creamy & delicious! We also very much enjoyed: crispy calamari w/... More

Omg...the food is fresh and absolutely delicious! Took my mom here for a second 60th birthday dinner and she was beyond impressed. The service was average though. I'll give them 3 out of 5 stars for service.

As a previous review noted, be prepared if you walk here that you will have to navigate some construction. However, it's worth the effort. This feels like you've found a neighborhood spot where locals hang out in a sea of more touristy places in Miami. We went on a Saturday night and it was packed and loud. But it wasn't... More

We took our son and his girlfriend here for dinner while visiting them in Miami. The atmosphere was average, at best. We were seated at a table adjacent to a small, round table, making it very noisy and impersonal. We had two of their "signature" beer cocktails, both of which were not nearly as good as similar beer cocktails in... More

Although in the middle of a construction zone, once inside this restaurant, the mood is cool and serene and the decor sophisticated and comfortable. It has a really great bar. We went for lunch after touring Vizcaya, and it was nice to settle back with a cool glass of white wine and a large salad for me, and fish tacos... More
