The Gibraltar is a restaurant located within a hotel, within an island in a gated community (at the gate, just say you are going to the restaurant). Sitting outside on the water at sunset was just beautiful. The staff was very friendly but the food was not even memorable. The salmon was too salty, and the other dishes were just... More

Great local place in the Grove, off the beaten path. I like that not a lot of people know about it. Yes, it needs updating, but who cares when you have a view like the one at this place! Inside or outside seating. Eat by the fire pit(s), the staff is VERY accommodating. Yes, they are short staffed due to... More

Very affordable yet upscale dining. It's a little off the beaten path but well worth the trip if you want great service, great atmosphere and super seafood.

Went to Gibraltar for our anniversary dinner. Grove Isle was, back in the day, a premier property; it's a little tired now, but being renovated. Cannot beat the view, perfect night. Sat outside. Corkage fee at 40 bucks was too high. Service was decent if a little slow (but of course we were not in a hurry); seafood was very... More

Service could have been more upscale and polished but the food was very good! This is a great place for romantic dinners with a view of Miami or Key Biscayne outside by torch light. Inside is also pleasant and great view but not nearly as romantic as outside.

I visited this spectacular waterfront restaurant which is located in a private isle called Grove Isle. It is located in the Coconut Grove, FL area. It is a restaurant that is located inside Grove Isle hotel. The restaurant specializes in seafood; however, it has quality poultry and meat as well. When it comes to seating, I recommend you request a... More

The food is horrific, all of it . We were a large party and none of us was able to eat what we ordered. At best it garages bad and at worse it was old and expired. And it took more then 1 hr to get it. We do not recommend!

I went to Gibraltar with my family after my sister got married at the courthouse. We had previously made reservations, however, there was not a host on duty when we arrived. After being seated our waiter brought out the wrong bottle of champagne and later brought out the wrong bottle of wine (white instead of red...) the waiter was very... More
