Good popular Cuban

We went to Versailles with a group of (adult) family members, after getting positive reviews from friends and TA. There was a wait but not bad - gave us time to check out the pastries at the bakery and the scene at the La Ventanita window. The food was fine and a great value, but not very varied... read more

We were in Miami overnight while traveling home from Aruba. WE took a cab from near the airport - it was about 10$, this place is BUSY- but we only had to wait about 10min and were seated. It is chaotic- but that's part of the charm. We like Cuban food but are not overly familiar with it- the waitress... More

Every time something happens in Cuba on the news - the gathering place you see (worldwide) on TV is "Versailles Restaurant". Always a classic for good Cuban cuisine and good Spanish gossip! Many locals gather outside its Cuban Coffee Expresso window to discuss Cuban and world politics! Its become a tradition! I think the press has a permanent table at... More

Just came from this great place and had to write my review. Arrived at 7:30, people waiting, but we were seated within 10 minutes. Line moved very quickly. Always good, quick service, great food. Bill for two was $38 (no alcohol) plus tip. The tres leches is the best. I come here every time I come to Miami on business.... More

Your hotel may send you here, but I think there's better Cuban food at many places in Miami. I know I had a better meal at Havana Rick's cafe across the street from FIU. This place is a food factory and is certainly an easy and non-threatening introduction to Cuban cuisine, but the food factory aspect of it all leaves... More

The long line outside is typically a good sign, and if you are willing to wait a good 30-45 minutes for a table then go ahead and give Versailles a try. Apart from the name and the interiors, nothing about this restaurant is French. What you will get is a great introduction to the local Cuban community and the food... More

My niece took me here because it had a cross section of locals and tourists. Great atmosphere! Our waitress was helpful in narrowing our food selections. Food was excellent. Finished off our meal with Cuban coffee and flan.

Get through security and stop at one of 2 Versaille restaurants in the airport. The Cuban sandwich does not disappoint.

This restaurant is about absorbing the Cuban Culture. I love sitting among so many older individuals (mostly men) speaking about Cuba in more ways that one. Portions are very generous! Prices are very affordable! It's refreshing to see a refined group of locals enjoying a Colada (expresso), or a Cortadito (Machiato) by the outside window. Just enjoy! It is an... More

From everything that I read, this place didn't live up to what I was expecting. When you walk into this old restaurant, you can see that no love has been put into the decor of the place. Everything is plain and simple. The service was just average. The food was good but not great. I'm not sure why this is... More
