As per other's comments below, this is more than a meal, it's an experience made so by the amazing team at Naoe. We make it our mission to eat somewhere incredible on each of our trips and this time we picked Naoe after having read the reviews and also comments across other sites. It is very different and probably not... More

Beautiful intimate setting. Get there early and/or request the sushi bar, foodies (and others) will enjoy watching the chefs work. Amazing planned, balanced, and interesting courses with explanations (and even pictures of the bioluminescent squids on the shores of Japan that we were eating)! Expensive, but a nice indulgence

Beautiful restaurant (Love the wood smell/look), excellent customer service, unbelievable food! What more can you ask for but a private experience. I see some bad reviews because of the reservation system but its clearly stated when you make a reservation that you can not cancel so don't take it against NAOE! Kevin is a master chef.

Worth every cent and the trip out of South Beach. Hands down a Miami staple. You MUST go. Very rare that a restaurant plans absolutely every aspect of your meal and delivers on even the smallest detail. Perfection...

Chef Kevin Cory floats quietly through the kitchen and delivers one of the best experiences you can have in a Japanese restaurant. The bento box served at the beginning was a combination of incredible and exotic flavors. The sushis that followed were simply perfect, balancing rice, shoyu, wasabi and fish in a way you can find in very few restaurants,... More

One of the weird things that I do - that I truly hope I'm not alone in doing - is imagine what my last meal on earth would be if I had that choice. For most of my life, my default answer usually was some variation of whatever I'd be in the mood for before my impending death. After experiencing... More

This is such a fun place, between the superb staff led by Wendy (who is amazing) and the traditional japanese techniques. I love the excitement of modernist cooking, but the chef conveyed that same excitement with traditional approaches. And it turns out it was exciting. This is about subtlety, and an invitation into different flavors (for those of us not... More

NAOE is easily the most incredible dining experience in Miami, and I consider it one of the best Japanese restaurants I've visited anywhere. Chef Kevin Corey pays such devout attention to his craft, and it shows in every intricate detail. He blends locally-sourced ingredients with far-flung imports, and shows an eye both for traditional fare and less common items. It... More
