Party of six, went for dinner. The server was cordial, friendly and approachable. Although almost all tables were occupied, we feel that we got good service. They have a couple of fair size tv sets inside. Had the malanga fritters, malanga soup for appetizer, had the Fox Brook Cavernet 2012. Ordered the Chrurrasco, Vaca frita, grilled palomilla and everybody was... More

There are lots of Cuban restaurants in Miami but this one is out of this world! We visited the restaurant last month with my parents and wife and they love it.

I've eaten at this restaurant twice before and having lived in Miami my whole life, I've had my fair share of Cuban food. There are definitely better places to eat Cuban food (and for cheaper), but this restaurant does have a cozy environment. That's about as good as it gets. Both times I had been to the restaurant as a... More

This place is a little pricey for the type of food you get, but the decor it very pretty, the service is solid & the food tasty. With so few choices for Cuban food in Pinecrest / Palmetto Bay / South Gables, this place is a gem.

First let me start by saying I am not a member or friend of the owner or any employee of this restaurant Malanga Café. I have been to many restaurants my family and I. This is the best restaurant I have been in a long time. Our daughter gave us a groupon for our anniversary. As soon as we walked... More

The food was just okay but the service was terrible. The waitress never even greeted me and was not friendly at all. They also include a 18% gratuity on the bill regardless of the amount of people in your party. When I questioned the waitress about it, she said "it says it on the menu". I guess that's how they... The food is ok. The menu is very limited, not much of a variety. The service is TERRIBLE! There is only one waitress and I don't think she has prior experience. She doesn't even know what broccoli is?!? The owner really needs to be a little more hands on and not leave these untrained people to serve their customers. Good... More

The food was very good. The wait staff has a lot to learn. First they should be friendlier and more willing to acommodate. Also when I asked if they have 3 different sides that are listed on menu they replied "no". Also they do not even attempt to accomodate a diner. I wanted to switch the white rice for another... More

Great food and service. Family run restaurant that offers fantastic cuban homestyle items. Reasonably priced. Enjoy.
