It took me years to warm up to the idea to eat at El Carajo. For years I used to fill up my tank at the gas station where this restaurant is located and never ventured inside the restaurant. However as the lines became progressively longer and the wine selection progressively greater I gave it a shot. It became one... More

So it's a gas station. Go inside, into another world. Wine shop is the best in Dade, and the food is exotic and great. It's a mildly mind blowing experience. The prices run from reasonable to the best in wine

We had a dinner in this restaurant because of the great Lonely Planet's evaluation. It wasnt' a good decision. The ambiency is ordinary and incredibly noisy at the point that one cant talk with the people at his table. The food (spanish kitchen) is relatively good but extremely overpriced. The service is unfriendly and hasty. Be aware.

Located inside BP gas station, this wine bar restaurant has and intriguing concept. You walk around and choose your beer or wine. Good wine's are reasonably priced and everything has a $10 corkage fee. There are about 12 dining tables and a 12 seat community table. Both the white bean soup and red bean soup are hearty, as is the... More

If I hadn't seen Pillar V review I wouldn't have found it! It is really hidden. We looked on he back of the Petrol station, on the sides, etc just to realised what we though it was the petrol station shop it was the restaurant itself. It is really nice inside and the menu is a mix of Spanish and... More

Excellent restaurant! It is hidden inside a BP gas station so you have no idea what is inside! The food and service were great as well as the wine!

The greatest wine selection in restaurant which is a front for excellent Cuban food. This is the "convenience store" and cashier for a active BP station. However, it's more like a gourmet restaurant with a full wine cellar.

The restaurant is in a working BP station, situated in the back of the store. It is freezing cold inside, the first thing you see is a bakery with great cakes and coffees. Then you see all the boxes of wine like in a wine shop. The food is authentic, prices reasonable, service quick. We did not like the hard... More

This is one of our favorite spots to visit on a Friday evening. A place to end the work week and begin the weekend with a bottle of wine and some tapas. We like to sit at the large wooden table next to the wine bottles.

You'll be surprised when you arrive at El Carajo's address and see that it's a gas station. The tapas place is inside after you pass the chips, motor oil and milk. The tapas are delicious and the prices fair. It's a very popular place.
