Perfect for pre theater

Good food, prompt efficient service, nice atmosphere and a short walk to the theater. What more could you want?

This is the second time we have been to City Hall whilst staying in Miami and it was just as good as the first. It is a warm inviting place with a good buzz about it and although not very appealing from the outside (sorry) the inside certainly makes up for it. Food is good( had salmon with passion fruit... Loved the atmosphere here, it definitely feels like the kind of great neighborhood better-than-pub-food-but-still-comfort food place everyone wants in their own hometown. But the food? Not so good. Tried the crabcakes, they were salty and frankly inedible. Otherwise, food was okay but in a restaurant city like Miami, you need more than cozy ambience.

Ate here a couple weeks ago and I was pleasantly surprised to find quality food at great prices. Arrived during happy hour so apps were cheap. I had the shrimp tacos that were awesome. Thanks Mitchel for the recommendations. He also suggested the hummus and that was equally great. Ask for extra red pepper relish that comes with it. To... More

My friends and I met here for a birthday celebration. We had heard great things and were excited to visit the restaurant. The restaurant exceeded our expectations. Our waiter was friendly, professional and knowledgeable of the menu selections. He was entertaining making us feel right at home and valued. However, it gets better. We called the maitre'd over and informed... More

Fabulous Easter Sunday Brunch Today with live Southern Gospel music. We had a great experience and enjoyed the comfort food brunch menu. Short ribs were excellent as was the French Toast. Within walking distance of the Marriott, Doubletree and Hilton.

My first dish was a crab cake which I found soggy. The second a Gorgonzola pizza which was very good. However my friend and I ordered a bottle of Valpolichella wine and the waiter brought another wine. I told him that that was not what we ordered. He said that's what he thought and took it back. After about 5... More

Food was excellent and very good service. From the outside it does not look inviting but is a whole different thing once you go in.

City hall in downtown Miami has a "clubby" atmosphere and serves updated and more upscale "bar" and "comfort" foods. There's a large menu of chocies: fried, fresh, meats, seafood etc. The items we tried (and liked) were: fried calamari (hot & fresh), crab cake (tasty lump crab meat), baked eggplant parmesan (good; not great), and an order of country fried...
