Featuring traditional French fare met by flavors of the American market presented by Executive Chef Matthieu Godard, db Bistro Moderne is designed to capture the energy and style of its Manhattan counterpart, yet uniquely tailored to the rhythm of Miami life. Located in downtown’s JW Marriott Marquis Miami, db Bistro Moderne offers a vibrant, urban setting, where guests will enjoy great cooking in a relaxed yet beautifully distinctive environment. The restaurant’s interiors by renowned designers, Yabu Pushelberg, feature a dining area with striking contemporary accents and soaring 18-foot ceilings, as well as a stylish bar and lounge, street-level terrace overlooking the Miami river and two private dining rooms. In addition to its acclaimed contemporary French-American cuisine, db Bistro Moderne presents over 150 affordable wines beginning at $25 per bottle.

We were going to go to another restaurant, but there was a large bike ride going on and we couldn't get our car from the hotel garage. Walked across the street and ended up with a pleasant surprise at this restaurant. We tend to be small eaters so enjoyed there small plate choices. We both had an Italian dish and... More

DB didn't disappoint. We tried it for happy hour before a movie, and it was great. The lounge is a large open space with very high ceilings and comfortable sofas. The champagne on the happy hour menu is a Billecart-Salmon Brut, which was served at the ideal temperature. Food was tasty, the highlight being the Tarte Flambee, a sort of... More

The food was superb! We went to celebrate my mother in law´s 88th birthday and everybody enjoyed their food. I had the soup of the day Lobster with sweet potato and croutons so good I enjoyed every spoonful and was very sad when I finished it...., the Rack of lamb with cranberry beans, which was a very different combination of... That's the best way I can describe the entire experience. Sometimes very good and sometimes just average. That seemed to apply to all the aspects of our dinner - the food, the service, the atmosphere, etc. At a finer restaurant "average" just isn't good enough. Our first courses were a Lobster Sweet Potato Soup that was great and Linguine Fra... More

The setting was quite chic, the food was very good. A dish of filet and braised short rib was outstanding. The coq au vin rich and flavorful. The favors of the Mediterranean appetizer had a better than average representation and breadth of items that showed some thought was put in to selecting the sampler. Desserts were not so original but... More

When you walk into the restaurant you know you are at a hotel. Unlike Boulud & Café Boulud. Very chicly appointed but not much warmth or romance. Its was our 32nd Wedding Anniversary, when we give notice in advance normally the do a little something special for the table not in this case. This is a “bistro” hotel atmosphere so... More

We ate here on 8/29/14. First the good points. The restaurant is in downtown Miami and is very trendy and chic. The space is open and modern. The bar was very busy at happy hour and was comfortably noisy and friendly. The wait staff at db's is very attentive, friendly and knew the menu backward and forward. Now the low... More

Maybe a 3.65/5 Had a late night meal here. Thought was space was quite comfortable, a nice place to relax after a long day. Service was professional and attentive as well as friendly. Most of the items we ordered were good, but the signature DB burger was a let down. Though the patty was cooked perfectly, it lacked flavour or... More
