Our dining room dining room falls somewhere between red-velvet regal and Slum Dog casual, with white table linens, fresh roses and vinyl-coated menus. There's gentle, tinkling music, authentic if slightly wooze-inducing incense and, for better weather, a petite patio. Our menu is centered mostly on the northern half of the country but includes fiery Goan specialties and henna-red vindaloo. Our knowledgeable, welcoming and sincere staff makes ordering easy for novices. Meals begin with a complimentary stack of crisp pappadom with thimbles of thick-cut onion chutney and a green-as-fresh-cut-grass coriander version for dipping. A side order of mixed chutneys yields store-bought but no less delicious sour mango pickle and sweet mango chutney. Come visit our lovely, value-priced dreamy addition to Coconut Grove!

Best Indian food in miami

I have tried many different Indian restaurants in miami, only to be disappointed. In the past, I resorted to leaving town to get Indian food. Their food and service was excellent & the leftovers were just as good. Actually made a reservation for the next week. It is small now , so it's not easy to... read more

By far this is one of the best restaurants i have been in USA. They have the best tandoori chicken. They are damn busy. Unless you make a prior appointment , you have to wait long to get seated.Though it seems expensive, they serve real delicious food. Mango lassi, lamb biryani and the list goes on....

It's busy! Damn right it's busy! We had to wait 10 min for our table but it was worth every minute :) the food was simply amazing. Tasty, every spice, every herb stood out. Fresh and light. Full of good ingredients. Wine was great. Service was outstanding. We felt welcome and special. They made sure we have our glasses full... More

They serve the best indian food.in Miami in my view. I ordered the lamb Pasadena which was made in a lovely sauce. Service was a little slow.

Miami is a great very cosmopolitan city for sure. But unfortunately it cannot boast about the quality of its Indian restaurants. There are a few which are quite decent, but not one of them can really make your stomach juices flowing. Bombay Darbar definitely belongs in another category. It is the best Indian restaurant in Miami; actually it is located... More

My entire life has been connected with India and Indian food. My Peace Corps days were spent there; my wife is from India; we travel there every year. The food here at Bombay Darbar is as good as any we have had, world-wide. Fortunately for the public they are moving to a bigger location, (not too far from where they... More

This is the only Indian restaurant in Dade County that I think is worth the money and the very long wait to get a table. The food is fresh and tasty. Service is competent. They are moving to a new location in April of 2015 with a much larger dining room and kitchen Hopefully the same good quality will be... More

We've been here several times and always receive outstanding service from all. Deepo & John make sure we don't wait long and provide us with our drinks while we do. The food is absolutely the best in town. Can't say enough about this gem in The Grove. We had several dishes, all have been flavorful and fresh.

I'm the type of business traveler that does NOT like to dine alone. As such, I usually end up dining in my hotel room. This place is so good that I always make sure I dine there when I am in Coconut Grove. Get the lamb pasanda -- you'll send me a thank you note thereafter.

I am new to the Miami area and have truly enjoyed all of the wonderful Latin food available...however, needed a change of flavor, and I'm happy to say Bombay Darbar was just what the doctor ordered! Apparently good Indian food is not that common at all in South Florida, but this restaurant's food was delicious, and that was obvious by... More
