The title say is all. I cannot understand how this restaurant can get a certificate of excellence. Although there is an appealing view of Biscayne Bay, the overall dining area is awful. Unattractive decoration. The tables are too small and placed too close to each other. The acoustics are horrendous. Despite being at a small table and the restaurant being... More

We were staying in the area and were walk-ins on a Monday evening. The restaurant was moderately busy but had spare tables and we were seated promptly. From that point on, the evening was brilliant. Terrific food, attentive service and we were left wanting for nothing. Many restaurants with a location like this would rely on the view for patrons,... More

Very attentive staff who bring bread, make your own bruchetta and fried zucchini chips promptly over to your table (great because we were starving). Delicious! The mushroom filled with escargot appetizer was very good but the caesar salad was disappointing. We all ordered specials (veal, lobster ravioli, chilean seabass and seafood linguine) and all were quite good. Would have loved... More

I have been to this place maybe 5 times now and I will continue to go! Food is great and worth every penny. Best time to be there is at sunset and sitting by the water. You do need a reservation to be sure you will get a seat as soon as you get there but they do accept walking... More

This restaurant has it all. Great location, food. service and view. The food is exceptional and also the service. Could get a little loud on the weekends but you can also sit outside whenthe weather is permitting. Really great northern Italian food, good menu and wine list. Definitely for a fun night or special occasion.

Yes, it is not inexpensive, but choose entrees wisely(avoid getting blindsided by unlisted and unpriced "specials"which are double the price of listed menu items)and you'll have a fine Italian cuisine at close to everyday prices enjoy and a calming front of Miami Harbor view to help your digestion.Extensive wine menu and professional bar service. Waiters could be better but this... More

We were so excited to go to Il Gabbiano after all the wonderful comments that had been made to us about this restaurant. When we arrived they did not have our reservation, which I had heard the concierge of our hotel make. They did seat us right away which was very nice of them. The service and attention was very... This is quite a scene and you will need a reservation. If it is nice out try and sit outside on the Bay. The pasta is made fresh and the sauces are fantastic. It is a bit pricey until the first bite goes into your mouth. They will start you off with a piece of parmesan cheese and Balsamic Vinegar... More
