Amazing pasta

Bueatiful location, if you ask for a table outside, you have great views out across the entrance of the Miami River and Miami Port. Food and service excellent, fresh home made pasta a must and wonderful deserts to follow. They also have a very good selection of wines, together with a full bar.

Great view, over priced and rude management . We started at the bar with myself, my wife and In laws. It was to celebrate a birthday and Mother's Day. We were seated out on the water. Service was good and friendly. We are locals and had it not have been for getting food poisoning we may have returned. But the... More

Have been going there over the past 6 years and never been disappointed until last night. Went with my husband to celebrate a belated Mother's Day and Birthday with my parents. Parents and I had the flounder and Bronzino specials were it was very good. Loved the grilled octopus appetizer. However, my husband experienced very bad food poisoning eating the... More

Went to this restaurant with friends from Boca Ratan. They first wanted to sell us $75 entrees, that were paraded around the table. Wine was overpriced and they treated us like we had never been to a "fine" restaurant before. Living in the San Francisco Bay area and having access to the Napa Valley gives us a unique perspective on... More

Great food, nice view, terrible service. Upon being seated, complimentary cheese, bruschetta and bread basket were brought to the table. After 5 minutes, I still had no menu. Looked around the restaurant as other guests were seated, given the complimentary items and given menus. Ten minutes later.... Still no menu. After FIFTEEN minutes, I decided to ask for a menu.... Great Italian food, however really memorable is the salted sea bass, best when shared because of its size. Service is excellent, will definitely return on my next visit to Miami.

Bad service, a disinterested servers and manager plus several screwups caused an extra hour to get our food but they didn't care because of the line of people waiting to get in. Although their prime concern seamed to be turning the table by grabbing our unfinished plates off the table without asking, ignoring our requests for service and totally indifferent... More

From the moment you walk into this place, you no you're ini for a treat! The Harbor side view was great, and the meals matched. I had the Lobster Ravioli special which was one of the best I've had anywhere! The one negative is that the specials for the evenings meal where too many to follow even after our server... More

We ended up arriving in town 3 hr. late and it was 9:30 and we decided we wanted Italian. Googled and found this place and saw they were still serving. We got a table outside on a balmy night. Before ordering, a plate arrived and a wheel of Parmesan that they carved some chunks of, along with some Balsamic vinegar.... More

Il Gabbiano has great waterfront views of Biscayne Bay and parts of Miami. The service is totally excellent as is the food. Having said the food is excellent it is very expensive. Be careful when ordering the specials. Always ask how much they are or you may be surprised as we were. One person at our table ordered the lamb... More
