The service is elegant and old-style but we never felt it was uptight or cold. The food is top notch and the setting overlooking the bay is almost operatic. They start you off with Parmesan and aged balsamic and a simply prepared bruschetta. The highlights for me are the branzino which I recommend and the pastas which are made in... More

This is one of our favorite Italian restaurants. Their aged balsamic and parmesan cheese are spectacular. The food is all homemade and the tastes are like sparklers in your mouth.

Fantastic experience. Everything I had heard and read pointed to the fact that this place was brilliant but overpriced. I have to say, I didn't agree. I didn't find it with any more expensive than any high-end restaurant you would dine at in London, New York or any other big city. The ciccheti was superb, with fresh chunks of Parmesan... More

Impeccable service, waterfront beauty, exquisite food. Best restaurant in Miami. Langostino appetizer, what a treat. Osso buco with risotto, added white truffles. What more could you desire. Dessert, of course, cannot wait to visit again.

Back in town for a long weekend, had to go back to Gabbiano, twice. First time, I was a little disappointed by the service. Im not sure who is training the new servers, but for as long as I can remember, it's "ladies first." Now, I know my husband is handsome and charming, but service standards are service standards. Other... More

The wonderful thing about Il Gabbiano is the collective memory. No matter how infrequent my visits (twice a year) there is always something a greeting, a "bentornato signor" or a handshake, that makes you feel welcome. It's simply never feels like the first time. The Branzino never disappoints. As too summer truffles. Molto bene Signori!!

My family loved Il Gabbiano. Arrived one hour late due to 4th of July traffic, hostess was very nice and seated us almost immediately. If you can, definitely sit outside (weather permitting). Spectacular views of the water!! If you happen to be there on the 4th of July, it was a great spot to watch the firework show. The food... More
