Friendly Service, less Friendly Food.

The food is often hit and miss. Salads are skimpy and nondescript. You may be served a good meal but more and more often it's just okay. However if you love Gulf fish it's difficult to completely destroy the flavors. The shrimp seems to be the most consistently good item on the menu. The prices are... read more

Great local seafood place. Really good service and the food always tastes really good. The wife and I have been going there with family every time we visit Port St. Joe. It truly is one of my favorite destinations. Its not just seafood, they also have a good steak selection. Don't be fooled by the outside appearance of building. Sit... More

Calamari appetizer was the real deal tentacles included! Well seasoned. My kids even ate it and loved it! Very clean sanitary environment. Very nice and very attentive waitress. My husband and myself had poboys. His the shrimp mine the oyster. Both very generous proportions. Comes with fries and coleslaw. Not overcooked at all either. Poboys with both sides was $10... More

i got an omelette, she got the eggs Benedict. Both were great. It took a bit for the food to arrive but the staff was attentive and kept the drinks topped off. We come to the fish house every time we make it to MXB.

We ordered a salad and seafood pasta. The salad looked and tasted like it had been made two days before and the seafood pasta was flavorless. I won't go back even though we are staying for a month in Mexico Beach.

We had a mahi mahi fish sandwich which was very good. I had mine plain and the others had it a little spicy. They said it was good and I liked mine plain. The waiter was really nice and helpful.

Go before 4:00 pm for the daily shrimp basket it's made with small popcorn shrimp, lots of fries, hush puppy and cole slaw all for $8.00. While the shrimp are small they load up the basket and are "lightly" breaded which is nice. The restaurant gets lots of local business which usually says it's pretty good. Don't expect fancy because... More

First off, the hush puppies were definitely not fresh. The crust was soft and the inside spongy; we thought they must have been yesterday's batch and just stuck in a microwave to warm them up for lunch. We stopped after spending the morning shelling nearby Mexico Beach (Crooked Island). I had the mahi mahi with a lemon pepper seasoning. Unfortunately,... More

My wife and I ate here New Years Eve for dinner. It had been awhile since we ate here and knew their lunches were pretty good. Both had the seafood platters (with real scallops) which was excellent. It may have been a little pricey, but you got a lot of food which we ate on for two days. We are... More
