Maybe you should stay in Tucson. Us locals love the food, service & atmosphere. The chips are always warm & guacamole always fresh.

I first tried El Tucan at their pervious location not lonh after it opened. The chips were from a grocery store and the food was as though it was poured out of a can. I swore I would never go back. I saw the crowds at the new spot so I tried them again after many years. Chips were good,... More

Went there for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and the lunch specials were valid (normally at restaurants on a weekend they aren't). Food was your typical large portions at a Mexican restaurant but quality was much better. The atmosphere is pleasant and the chips were really good. We brought a party of 16 unannounced and they did a great job... More

Last Wednesday (Oct 15th) 14 Cocoa High Alumni visited El Tucan and had a great time! The Food was deee-licious! And the service was very good. SERVER: Liz did a terrific job keeping everyone satisfied. Her boss Johnny was a happy guy! Don't miss a visit to this restaurant. We will definitely be coming back. Bill Hardy, Cocoa, Fl.

We have been fans since they were located on Courtenay Blvd and bring all our friends and family for supper when they visit. Tonite was no exception; good food, great prices, and our waitress Jolie was friendly, efficient, and courteous! The only downside is that the place is always crowded. But I don't mind as a full parking lot has... More

We would love to dine here much more often as the food is outstanding as well as the served portions and wonderful atmosphere.....however, we have a sincere problem with MSG in the food we had. It is actually a health threat to my husband and anyone who has heart problems should beware. Such a shame because of all the above.... More

Our group of very hungry five adults visited on a Saturday afternoon before El Tucan's break from 3-5 p.m. The waitress was not familiar with the concept of a virgin drink but was able to get a virgin pina colada for one of our group. The chips were thin and not too salty, freshly fried in oil. The salsa was... More

The best Mexican I've ever had. I'm out of state 7 months but when in Merritt Island, I eat there at least once a week but have gone up to 3 times in one week. The amount you get to eat is very adiquate and the service is always excellent. I get hugs from a couple of the staff because... More

I have lived in Merritt island since 1979 and can honestly say there is no better Mexican restaurant than El Tucan. EVEYTHING is great from the atmosphere to the service. Great food and excellent value too! Oh and did I mention they have a full bar!

Happy to find an above average Mexican place in the area. We have some that are terrible. I still would love to find some real Mexican but El Tucan does a good job with big portions and fair prices. You may need to share as they give you a ton of food. Also be prepared to wait to sit down... More
