So much I love about this place...I always choose to eat at the bar where the service is excellent and it is nonsmoking. Love the bar menu which offers smaller portions of great food at a fabulous price. Nice local friendly crown and wonderful management. Can't wait to go back!

There is a reason the name is New England Eatery. The restaurant and food remind you of New England. The portions are large and taste is very good. Most of the food is fried (which I love), but it is not greasy. Well, well worth the visit.

I don't understand the negative reviews-we went for great seafood and we got it. Fried whole clams and scallops, fried cod platter, french onion soup, clam chowdah-all cooked perfectly. Nothing soggy or dripping with grease; even though its fried, it was perfectly done. Just like I remember from my youth in SE Massachusetts. Service was prompt and courteous, I really... More

The menu had many items to choose from, we had the captains platter for two, the fish was perfectly cooked the portion size was great. The waitress was friendly and attentive, it did not take long to get our food after we ordered, there is nothing bad to say about our experience.

I and my family and friends have eaten at the New England Eatery and loved it every time. I especially like the WHOLE clams with the bellies. Can't find them many places outside of New England. The haddock is very good as well as their other offerings. If you are into a true seafood dining experience try New England Eatery.... More

This antiquated, long past dead bar is no place to go for even an average meal let alone a good one. Plenty of hype in periodicals and its own promotional materials but frankly its a smelly old dump. Crappy bar food, horrific service and of array of stains, odors joined by old mismatched furniture. Its gross and that it should... More

We can only assume that previous glowing reviews were based upon good intentions or happy hour. This is a dingy, filthy roadside bar with a variety of odors and a menu that is fast food like. Dump Dump Dump!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Food is gross. Pathetic Awful We were disgusted by the hype versus reality. Drive past!!!!

No pretension, just honest food cooked so beautifully. Enjoy the porch for an icy beer or wine and dinner

Very good New England style seafood. My wife had the full belly clam and scallop combo and she loved it! I had the 1 1/4 Maine lobster special and it was very good also. The prices are reasonable and service excellent. We will definitely return here on future trips to Melbourne.

Definitely a local spot which is always a good sign when you want to ensure a good meal! Fresh Grouper was great, Seared Sushi Grade Tuna appetizer, fresh big salad, and our server Julie (I think) all top notch. It's around 25 miles of beautiful deserted coastline north of Vero Beach but such a pretty drive!
