Walked in and had servers walk by us without sitting us. Then had to find 3rd chair after sitting us and walking away leaving one standing for over a minute. Then grabbed our own menus after 5 min of sitting. Then waited 15 min for water. Waited over an hour for food while people who apparently knew owners next to... More

We visited this restaurant last night and all I can say is that it gives you the" true authentic cuban food experience .. " The Outstanding staff, delicious 5 star menu. The mojitos and sangria are the best we've had across the world. The appetizers, especially the beef empanadas are outstanding, and all the flavors blend well. We will definitely... More

Finally got a chance to try this place, with Cuban family members from Miami I've learned what authentic Cuban food should be like and my companion as Cuban American appreciates an authentic place. The parking lot and restaurant are both small (or cozy if you will) and it's tucked away a bit below downtown Melbourne across from the Manatee park... More

There were two of us dining for lunch and the appetizer list was so appealing we decided to just go the small plate route and ordered a bunch of them and shared. Everything was very good, the fried yucca with the house onion sauce was amazing. The empanadas were definitely house made, crisp crust and moist filling. Not directly on... More

Having lived in Miami for over 10 years and being Cuban, I know a little about Cuban food. This place is an authentic family owned restaurant. Portions are large, service is quick and the price is painless. Best Cuban and Medianoche Sandwiches around. Their entrees are all tasty and full of flavor - you can't go wrong with any of... More

After a recommendation to try some Cuban food while in Florida I did a quick search on trip advisor and found El Ambia Cubano. I ordered the seared pork tips with rice, beans and fried potato cakes (not what they are called on the menu but I'm simplifying). The pork was absolutely fabulous and the beans were perfect. Hard to... More

Being a vegetarian I recently visited this restaurant not expecting to much, I was however, delighted with the option available and thoroughly enjoyed a black bean stew with roast plantain. It was a lovely tasty and nourishing meal. Only down side was a very limited selection of beers, although a colleagues cocktail was very good

Excellent Cuban food. We're from Miami...and this is about as close as you can get without driving 3 hours south. The space is small though, so get there early on a Friday or Saturday night, or be prepared to wait. There are worse things in the world than getting a cerveza or sangria, and listening to the live band before... More

My family and friends all love El Ambia Cubano. Sometimes we eat in the restaurant, but frequently we pick it up on our way home from work. We love the Ropa Vieja and the roast pork, always fresh and delicious. We usually order the meals with yellow rice, black beans, and sweet plantains. The best Cuban cooking we've had around... More

The food is the closest to home made you can get. Everything is authentic and wonderful. You really get the feel of being in someone's home and enjoying their old family recipes. We were very pleased with every dish. We love the Hemingway rice. So much flavor and so moist. The seating is a bit cramped and unusual but all... More
