Excellent smoked fish

We stopped here 3 times during our stay. The smoked salmon is the best. We also had the grouper sandwich and smoked fish dip. Everything was delicious. Everyone was very friendly and courteous.

This is what we have been looking for, for the past 5 years. Fresh caught seafood. The owner was on site, eager to teach and share his passion for fishing. Love it!

On our drive through Matlacha, we decided to pick up some fresh fish for dinner. As luck would have it, we chose the Island Seafood Market, which is on the main road through town. Surprisingly, there are not many fresh seafood places on the Florida Gulf Coast, but here you can choose from a variety of freshly caught fish. Freshly... More

Thank you for taking the time to review! It's a great description of Island Seafood for future visitors, our fish does come in the backdoor fresh from the docks! We are glad you enjoyed your Black Grouper and Cobia, they are certainly favorites!! We hope to see you again soon! Thank you, Katie & the Island Seafood Team More

I stopped in to buy some seafood when I first got to the island. I was a bit dismayed at the prices, but purchased anyway (I can find fresh shrimp in Denver cheaper than this). Everything was OK, except scallops were too big - if I had not really had a hankering for scallops I would not have bought them.... More

Thank you for taking the time to review. There are stores across the county not in close proximity to the ocean that have "fresh" seafood, fish, and shrimp at cheap prices. We would caution our customers to be aware of where these items really come from for their own health. At Island Seafood we sell local, fresh and sustainable shrimp,... More

Wow! The blackened grouper sandwich was by far the most delicious seafood of our trip. A place to come back to again and again.

We drove out from Cape Coral specifically for this fish market, on reccomendation from my parents who had been there before. We were greeted by friendly staff members who were eager to help us out. They asked what we wanted (grouper to cook on the BBQ) and recommended a specific fish, cut, and cooking method. They sold us delicious blackening... More

Thank you for taking the time to review! Cooking seafood and fish can be intimidating it's important our fishmongers help assist so you can enjoy the best seafood and fish the way you like it! You can find prices cheaper but it will not have the same quality of fresh, local and sustainable product. We are happy you enjoyed everything... More

When you enter, it appears at first glance that this is a place that retails fresh raw fish... but it turns out that they also cook it for you. We chose a table out by the water and waited - about 30 minutes (so don't plan on a quick take-out). Had our first goldentile fish ever (good taste).

Thank you for taking the time to review! Good tip to future customers, we are not fast food and because our food is baked and not fried it can take a little longer. Goldentile fish is delicious, we are glad to hear you enjoyed it too! Hope to see you again soon! Thank you, Katie & the Island Seafood Team More

We read the other reviews and decided to lunch here. It was one of best decisions of our five week camp florida trip. Food was freshly prepared after we picked it out of the case. The truck driver/ fish consultant was fun. We will be back.

We stopped off here to grab fresh seafood on a trip to North Captiva. North Captiva is only accessible by boat so when staying there you have to plan ahead. Had the pleasure of purchasing tuna (caught that day) shrimp and smoked salmon. The brother of the owner smokes the fish right there. It was excellent!
