Great Grouper Sandwich!!!

I stopped by here with a friend after fishing at the pier. We were just looking for a place to grab some lunch. We were a little surprised that there was no menu - you're told what's available at the counter. You order there, then go outside and sit at brightly painted picnic tables (with... read more

A cute place that had received good reviews in the local papers so I had to try it for myself. We ordered the fresh Blackend Grouper sandwich but the bill was shocking; $30 for 2 sandwiches served on a paper plate. We took the food outside on a picnic table next to the parking lot and dumpster overlooking the bay... More

Thank you for visiting and trying the Grouper sandwich. There are certainly cheaper places to go in the area. We strive to provide the freshest seafood for our clients. Our seafood isn't frozen, dyed, or sprayed with chemicals and it certainly isn't from farms or other countries which cheaper establishments may use. Our fish are locally and sustainably caught, we... Came here purposely on recommendations from other TripAdvisor members and was everything made out to be. Small brightly covered fresh fish market. Menu on board, pick your dish, and go wait by the dock and enjoy the Pelicans and boats until your order is brought out. Have to get grouper whenever we're in Florida and this was one of the... My family and I stopped here before Christmas Eve to pick up Seafood to cook for Christmas Eve Dinner. We loved the location, its right next to a boating dock and the kids enjoyed sitting out by the water, looking at the boats and pelicans. There was a nice selection of local seafood, we ended up getting Mussels and a... More

Having recently relocated to Florida my experience is that it is difficult to find a quality orientated fish market. Maybe the demand is just not there and folks do not cook at home. Island Seafood may have a limited selection, but what they have is fresh (instead of 3-4 days old), and local. Yes, they have the obligatory farm raised... More

Thank you for visiting!! You are right, it is hard to find a quality fish market and know where your seafood is coming from. We take pride in being transparent with our customers! Thank you, Katie & the Island Seafood Team More

Walked into this place and were asked, "are you here for the best grouper sandwich you've ever had?" - we said yes, and we did. Fresh fish - good side of coleslaw, bag of chips and a soda eaten at a picnic table by the water. Offered a choice of blackened or crispy - had one each and loved them... More

Good grouper and crab cake sandwich but, you would expect that from a seafood market. For a restaurant, the grouper needed more seasoning and was lacking some of the things that you would expect, such as plastic cups and ice for the can drinks. Is there a difference in a market that's a restaurant or a restaurant that's also a... More
