family friendly kitschy place

Great atmosphere and view. Decent food and good service. Great for families. The prime rib was tender but a little overdone. The standard fried shrimp was good. The decor is a diverse collection of kitschy marine-related objects on walls and ceiling. All in all, a fun time.

Absolutely some of the best food! Make sure to try the conch fritters they are delicious! Every thing we were served was delicious. Shrimp spinach pasta very fresh and the special of blackened mahi was incredible! To top it off our server, Tom, was great with his service, personality and suggestions

Dinner w friends from FLA. Conch fritters were great, and crab cakes were delish. Grouper was a little dry or overlooked, but friends were delighted w shrimp. Good service on a busy night.

My husband had the mahi mahi with some sort of lime and tomato salsa on it, and it was delicious. REALLY good. I had the broiled seafood with scallops, shrimp and fish. Sort of like the small metal dish you get at Red Lobster's, maybe 6" long, broiled in butter, (and not much else, too bland for me), with about... More

Thank you for your time. The Hook is a dish that many people love, but not all. I will check on the cracked conch as I have many people tell me that it is better than the conch they get in the Bahamas. Thank you for letting me know and next time let me know why you are here so... More

While visiting my father and step-mother who retired in Cape Coral, I had the pleasure of eating a lovely dinner at Sandy Hook Fish and Rib House. The little district in which this restaurant is located is super cute and Key-West-y. It's got little shacks and brightly colored, tiny shops lining the only main road, with just enough space between... More

We really appreciate the time you took in your review. Most of our dressings, and in fact our cocktail, tarter sauce and soups are homemade as well. I am very proud of my staff because they do work hard to make sure everything works. I will let them know that it was noticed! Hope to see you when you return, More

Probably one of the best restaurants in Matlacha. Not quite fine dining but the only restaurant that is not pub food. Great menu, interesting decor and amazing view. Friendly service and well priced food and drinks.

Had two over the top dinners at this wonderful place, kind of like a Florida supper club atmosphere. I had the Grouper, my husband is stuck on the shrimp and conch. Good key lime pie for dessert too. Will return!

We tried to get here in time for the early bird dinners, but didn't quite make it. No matter, we were glad we came anyway. There were four of us, and during the brief wait for our table we passed the time looking at all of the cute nautical décor and the beautiful view of the water through the large... More

So glad that you enjoyed your meal. I do apologize about your baked potato. We bake them as we go through the night and slice them open just before serving. We try not to open them all of the way to make sure they stay hot. We don't often have one with bad spots inside, but while slicing we do... More

There was 6 of us for an early dinner, the waitress was good, the food was tasty, the view was beautiful. The price was very good for early bird dinner. ( before 5 pm I think). But after that dinner started at $16 and up.

Thank you for your review. The early birds are an excellent value. They are available to tables that have been sat 4-5:30 Tuesday through Saturday and Sundays 12-4. We try to have price conscious entrees on both the early bird and the regular menu. Look forward to your return. More
