A family favorite

This restaurant has a quiet "fancy" feel to it, but my kids love it! (Ages 5-13)Their soup is outstanding. Their veggie appetizer with goat cheese is my favorite. Their bread is so yummy! I love all of their fish entrees. My hubby like their sauces. The desert list is hard to pick from, but... read more

This restaurant is a gem, hiding in plain site....we went for the early bird and everyone in our party loved their meals. Food was a perfect "10". In addition to the food, the service was friendly, timely, and coordinated, but not too formal. We were seated in the wine nook, and it was lovely. We highly recommend the Island Cafe-

Our server promoted the "Chef's Specials" so I ordered a seafood pastry that turned out to be a very small portion that looked like a piece of bread pudding with no taste and the worst meal I ever ate. I told our server it was not very good and his response was "I should have just ordered it as an... More

This is an old school type place but feels warm and not too stuffy. Menu had several specials which we tried and enjoyed. Definitely a home-cooked vibe to the food and it was rich and hearty. Wine list was good and reasonably priced, unlike most of the over-priced Marco restaurants. All in all an excellent value for Marco and we... More

We have tried them all and island cafe for us is the best in the island. Always great food!! Bill the owner welcomes you warmly as he seats you. Every item is great but if you upgrade to the pear salad you won't be sorry!! Fresh hot bread delivered to your table with daily specials always offered. The sauces the... More

Our waitress, Stephani, was absolutely delightful and made us feel "at home"every time I've eaten there. Escargot is not common in restaurants but I always order it as my entree of the three course meal. They have prepared it different ways and they have all been delicious. The wine selection is very much to my liking. Their prices, menu selection... More

Went to Island Café for dinner two times during the week we were in Marco Island. This restaurant should be rated #1. The food was excellent as well as the service. Best dinners we had on the Island. The owner was friendly and had my son try escargot - which he really enjoyed. We will definitely return.

Visited this intimate restaurant at the end of our first day in Marco Island. Seems to be busy all the time and we took the last available table at the time of our booking. Lovely friendly staff, good variety of options on the menu & beautiful blend of flavours. Would love to have revisited but they were fully booked when... More

. . .and excellent food and friendly service. Speaking of service, on the night of our visit, there was a torrential downpour. Our friends who live near by the restaurant said we would be a few moments late, but that we were close by. The manager ( or maitre d') awaited us out front with an umbrella to escort us... More
