True French bistro in a strip mall location... Wonderful taste and presentation of food served by people who enjoy what they are doing. Nice wine list too and all at very reasonable prices. Can't go wrong with a meal at the Island Cafe!

Visiting Marco Island for a long weekend and not familiar with local fair. Researched several review sites and kept seeing Island Cafe. Easy to find on the main road, easy parking, pleasant welcome and wide variety of menu choices. Their Summer special for $20 was a winner with soup, salad good choices of entree and dessert. Don't feeling eating all that... More

This restaurant serves delicious food in a small establishment that, while pleasant on the inside, is next door to a nail parlor and barbershop, so there's not much ambiance. Quite reasonably priced and nicely presented and served. Beer (I think) and wine only.

Visited Marco Isl May 2014. Stopped at the Island Cafe for dinner. What a fantastic find! May & June offered a 3 course gourmet meal for $20. Mushroom ravioli with a basil butter sauce with capers was outstanding. Cod with panko breadcrumbs & chorizo coating different & delicious. Best Creme Brulee I've experienced in ages (& I've tasted many!) AND... More

This was our second visit and the food was amazing. Gene was our server both times and he was very knowledgeable & helpful with making our selections. We can't wait to go back again!

On our last night on Marco Island, we decided to try a little restaurant that we had never been to before. I'm so happy that we did! From the friendly staff to the dinner presentation, we were extremely happy with every aspect of the Island Cafe. Do not overlook this little hidden gem on the island! You will thoroughly enjoy... Food was ok, although I had much better Grouper at two other restaurants. It took forever to get the check, and then the staff unable to do a split to multiple credit cards in a timely fashion (we ended up having one of us pick up the check while we reimbursed him). Service generally slow and not particularly attentive. You... More

To keep it simple, the food is very good to excellent. However, the menu is limited, and in my opinion the prices are more than most comparable restaurants. The house salad was a disappointment with way too much iceberg in the mix and heavy dressing. It's not hard to make a good house salad. The cuisine is French, so please... More
