We ate here in May of 2009 sorry for the delayed review. While I agree with other reviews that this place is nothing special, I must also say it was pretty good. My fiance had a nice tasy omlette and I had the corned beef hash and eggs. The hash was home made and very tasty and not super alty... more

We had a breakfast at Hoots. It was typical breakfast fare, nothing special. The eggs benedict with crab was too bready. The home fries that came with an egg dish were just diced potatos with no seasoning. Coffee was weak. There are better breakfast places (Nene's) on the island. more

We went to Hoot's the last morning of our stay prior to departing the island. We ate at Nene's the day before. I was impressed with the service at Hoot's. The staff is very warm and inviting and the general mood of the restaurant is really pleasant. However, the breakfast is just okay, nothing great or impressive. I loved the... more

Hoot's is where the locals go, and now we know why. I highly recommend Hoot's. Clean, nice, prompt, comfortable, and they have all the home cooking you'll ever want for breakfast. more

I love the home like atmosphere and made breads at Hoots! They prepare a great breakfast and lunch - Americana style. I enjoy the family setting and being able to start the day with my newspaper, a good cup of coffee and an great eye opening breakfast with Homemade Bread!!!!! The service is quick and friendly - it's kind of... more

We just spent a week on Marco Island and ate breakfast at Hoot's three times. They have fantastic homemade bread that the use for their toast and French toast (wow). I had the two-egg and pancakes meal and the eggs benedict, both excellent. My kids had the homemade French toast, which is why I know that's so good too, especially... more

I would highly recommend Hoot's for breakfast. If you are looking for some fancy snooty place then keep your nose in the air and go somewhere else. It is just a good hometown mom and pop joint. Hoot's appears to be a place frequented by the locals. The food was great, the service was great, the staff and customers were... more

With "meh . . ." meaning nothing special, nothing dreadful. Hard to see this as the #4 restaurant in Marco Island (ranking as of the time of this writing). Food was fine, but coolish when it arrived. Pot pie was a bit bland, but OK. Mashed potatoes are really good (homemade, good kind of lumpy), but less good cold. BLT... more

I have only had breakfast here, but it was excellent. Very fresh, quick, and prepared to order (i.e. well done bacon, perfect eggs, ect). Owners appear to be on premis, which helps. The bread is a meal in itself. Skip the overpriced hotel breakfasts and go to Hoots. No credit cards...cash and check only. more
