Description: Tucked away in the northern most point of Old Marco is Cafe de Marco. An intimate bistro/cafe serving the most diverse selection of fresh seafood & other continental specialties since 1983. A favorite amongst locals & seasonal return visitors to Marco Island. Reservations are greatly appreciated. Olde Florida atmosphere in the historic district of Olde Marco. Perfect for an outstanding meal, business, or special occasion. Vast wine selection and beer available. Twilight specials and children's menu available. Owned and operated by same owner & family since starting out in 1983. Our building enjoys a rich piece of Marco history. The Cafe's building was the original quarters for the chamber maids employed by the historic Old Marco Inn just a few yards away. Many years ago the Inn functioned as a "bed & breakfast", and the maids would simply walk to work from our building. This explains the answer to a frequently asked question..."Was this an old house at one time?" Today, step inside to what has been transformed into an islander's tradition for over 30 years. We look forward to serving you soon! ~Sandy Franchino, Owner

Our hotel recommended Cafe de Marco and we thank them for that. I had the special which was sea bass and my husband had the jumbo prawns. The sea bass was fantastic and my husband said he prawns were like mini-lobsters. We both loved the restaurant and would for sure return. Marty was our very attentive waiter and Chris (the... More

The food here is first class, the only critic but I am been peaky is the plastic covering the table that makes the place cheap for this type of restaurant. Excellent service.

This is a fun little restuarant with terrific service and great food. The prices are very reasonable; you get salad, a starch and a vegetable included with your entree. We both had fish which was the best we have had in Florida. I definitely reccemend this restuarant. You will not be disappointed!

The lobster bisque is to die for and all of our dinners have always been excellent. Last trip I had the nut encrusted cobia and my husband blackened seabass. Dinner also comes with a nice complement of sides. I like vegetables with my dinner and I hate to pay a big price for a meal and then have to pay... More

I love coming to Cafe de Marco, not only for the AMAZING food but the staff and owner go above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I had the Sea Bass and it was "melt in your mouth" delightful and my husband had the prawns, their signature dish, and it was dynamite! I've never been disappointed and have been... More

I would actually give 2.5 but the Lobster Bisque was excellent. The service was not bad, but our fish dishes were only mediocre. I was very disappointed considering the promotional material on this restaurant. I would not go back or recommend to visitors.

This place promotes itself as an "the best seafood on Marco Island". So far from the truth. Dining here is a mediocre experience in a run down house. We were seated in the front porch with uneven floors so there was the sensation that all the plates & cutlery were about to slide into my lap. Our seafood entrees were... More

Local place at end of island. Poor decor. Great lobster bisque. Very disappointed in fish dish. I went there because they offer complimentary valet to/from hotel.

We went to this restaurant because of an article in a local flyer promoting them. Although the food was good it was not nearly as good as we had hoped. The service was lacking and we felt like the staff treated us as if they were doing us a favor by serving us. The signature shrimp dish was OK but... More
