Tucked away in the northern most point of Old Marco is Cafe de Marco. An intimate bistro/cafe serving the most diverse selection of fresh seafood & other continental specialties since 1983. A favorite amongst locals & seasonal return visitors to Marco Island. Reservations are greatly appreciated. Olde Florida atmosphere in the historic district of Olde Marco. Perfect for an outstanding meal, business, or special occasion. Vast wine selection and beer available. Twilight specials and children's menu available. Owned and operated by same owner & family since starting out in 1983. Our building enjoys a rich piece of Marco history. The Cafe's building was the original quarters for the chamber maids employed by the historic Old Marco Inn just a few yards away. Many years ago the Inn functioned as a "bed & breakfast", and the maids would simply walk to work from our building. This explains the answer to a frequently asked question..."Was this an old house at one time?" Today, step inside to what has been transformed into an islander's tradition for over 30 years. We look forward to serving you soon! ~Sandy Franchino, Owner

Last night on Marco Island - Dinner

Very pleasant setting. Wait staff were great as was owner Sandy who visited each guest's table but in a subtle friendly way. Food was good. Best we had on Marco Island.

The steaks, sirloin and N.Y. tender loin were cooked to perfection..the service by our waitress Bobbie was excellent..came to our table to ensure everything was to our liking. Not cheap but yet good quality food.

The meal was so good we went back a second time for the same meal. The Captains Platter features lobster tail, scallops, shrimp, fish, clam & seafood cake. This was an excellent meal and the cost was very affordable. If we return to Marco will surely visit this restaurant again. Outdoor seating was very nice however you are overlooking the... More

We brought a friend to this restaurant and were very disappointed. We had been there before but this time we went for the twilight special. It was an apparent secret because it wasn't written on the menu and the waitress did not mention it to us at all. By the time we asked about the special we almost weren't able... More

The food was excellent! Great service! The host was very charming. The lobster bisque was the best I ever had. Nice menu selection. Would definitely go again.

Dined here last night with my teenage sons. We had Cobia prepared De Marco style and red snapper. Both were delicious...The portions aren't huge but enough to fill you up. All entrees are served with a vegetable, salad and potato or rice. They also serve warm rolls with a delicious sweet butter. Would recommend going early and making a reservation.... More

There are many wonderful restaurants on the island, but I absolutely had to dine at this one again. We vacationed here 7 years ago and I never forgot how delicious my meal was. I am not one to order much seafood. However, their signature prawns dish was phenomenal. Tastes like lobster tail. Our family of 6 each ordered something different... More

Excellent service excellent food. We didn't have reservations and they went out of their way to accommodate us. The lobster bisque is delicious and so is the macadamia crusted fish is fabulous. Everyone was so pleasant and made us feel so at home. We would defiantly come back.

Mediocrity wrapped in an ok atmosphere with average food and service. Ordered mussels to take home for a member of our party who couldn't come out that night, when she opened her dinner the "cooked" mussels were all still closed . She had no pasta or sides sent with her box of closed mussels. They did send three take out... More
