Good food and good service on my trip

I visited in May and it's off season. It was a rainy night. We had never been here before We got seated immediately at a nice window seat. The place had a few visitors and a few locals for a rainy Sunday night. We ordered of course the shepards pie and the chicken pie. It came with salad or... read more

It's always nice to visit a true Irish restaurant owned by Irish people. We were served by Colleen and I have to say that she is one of the best waitresses we have had. Very attentive and a great sense of humor. We did not intend to stay after lunch but as we were enjoying her banter, we did linger... More

This bar was opened the latest in the complex. Open later than Rookies. Must be the time of the year. Food was good. Service at the bar was a little slow the second nite I was there. But ok.

We were staying down the street and stopped in for a light dinner. Plenty of parking spots were available. I had the blackened grouper sandwich with homemade fries. My wife had the Reuben and both sandwiches were delicious. The service and speed of delivery of what we ordered was totally acceptable. A good value. We definitely would return.

My wife and I had been on a kayak tour of Rookery Bay and was exploring Marco Island. We had hoped to find an ocean view seafood restaurant for a late lunch but so had several hundred before us. We ended up at O'Donoghues as I also have a soft spot for Guiness. My wife ordered a Grouper sandwich and... More

Reservation on a Monday evening for 6:45. Place was not full, but appeared to be understaffed. Waited about 50 minutes for food. Server tried, but would forget a couple items and it ended up easier to do with out. Food was just OK. Overall it seemed they were struggling to handle even moderate business. Restaurants around it were much busier.

Blah bar. Nothing to write home about. The waitress came to our table and actually asked us if we'd like a waitress or if we wanted to go get our drinks ourselves. Really?

Went there for lunch because it was before noon and the Marco Island seafood restaurant was not yet open. Not really into Irish food, but gave it a try. At 11:45 AM, we were the only customers. Not a good sign. When we walked in we were told to sit anywhere. It was a hot day and the front doors... More
