Worth the visit. I always get the grouper and if you order the fries and onion rings you'll be taking food home.

Seafood Shrimp Tacos were amazing! Onions rings not so much. Too greasy. I like more breading. Great location walking distance right across from the public beach access. Staff very friendly.

This is old Florida. The Florida before all the high rise condos and t-shirt shops. It's small but that's part of its charm and doesn't limit the size of their grouper sandwiches....a full quarter pound. Try the grouper fritters...another quarter pound of delight. If you are looking for someplace that offers excellent grouper in a by-gone atmosphere....somewhere you'll fit right... More

We had been looking forward to eating at Dave's Dockside--our family loves a good, casual seafood meal more than any other dinner out. Unfortunately, this place was a terrible disappointment. The restaurant is dirty from the door on, with sticky tables and grimy menus. Dave's wouldn't be the first seafood joint to be great despite the grime, so we didn't... More

This is not a fancy, upscale fish joint and it is not pretending to be one. This place is all about the food and it gets that right. The grouper was amazing as were the scallops and shrimp. Many of the seafood dishes can be prepared in a variety of ways to suit your taste. Seating is somewhat limited so... More

Fresh caught from the Gulf, the fish is the real deal; the grouper is from local waters. The food was fresh; the fried stuff light batter and fresh oil. This is just a casual beach bar (but it is not on the beach). What I liked best was the very laid back atmosphere and friendly service. It has two locations... More

Five minutes at our table and the dirty room, lack of AC, and an unpleasant odor finally combined to send us fleeing. Too bad, as in previous incarnations (and other locations) Dockside Dave's had the best grouper sandwich going. Folks, just don't bother, clearly not long for this world.

i was compelled to write this particular critique, after having eaten at the other "store" in St. Pete Beach a few years ago during another of our Treasure Island beach vacations. As you read on you will readily SEE WHY I had to write about this particular visit... Dave's store in Madiera Beach immediatel caught my eye realizing it was... More

If you were to drive by Dockside Dave's, you probably wouldn't stop. The staff at our hotel recommended them. We were not disappointed. The grouper was fantastic!

We came here for scallops. There were several ways to order them: grilled, fried, lightly lemon-peppered grilled, blackened, I know there was more ways….We went for the lightly lemon-peppered grilled. Scallops melted in our mouth. Grouper sandwich looked awesome, we will be back to order it for sure. We had the seafood gumbo, a little spicy and awesome. The fried... More
