Clam Clowder

Always loved the Clam Chowder at this restaurant. The very best in town.On this visit however, it was not very good. It tasted like it came from a can. Maybe they were having a bad day. :(

The server was extremely slow. Others around us with different servers got their food much quicker than us (we had a table of 5 with no special or complicated orders). That being said, we did enjoy our meal and being able to watch for Dolphins out the window

It started good. Received my drink in this cool carved coconut I could take home and my app of calamari wasn't bad. but then I got the stuffed tilapia as my entree. It tasted great for the first time having it, but within 15 minutes of leaving I started feeling funny. within an hour or so I was stuck next... More

My wife and I recently ate here and it was very good. The food was great and though it was around $22.00 each, one has to expect that of a resort town. The service was wonderful and the place was very clean. I always check the bathroom before I'm seated. As the great Sam Walton once said, " if they... More

We went for lunch. I ordered the Oysters Rockefeller; it was an order of 6. They looked good, except the Hollandaise like sauce poured all over them was watered down. The 4 normal sized oysters tasted OK. The 2 big oysters were like chewing a rubber band. I had to spit them out. They were $11.49. I also ordered a... More

The restaurant is located on the water of John's Pass in Madeira Beach (literally on the boardwalk). The interior is decorated with a variety of mounted fish most are common to Florida waters and has an overall nautical theme. We liked it. The wait staff was friendly and very courteous (and attentive without being smothering) and kept our drinks refilled... More

For a restaurant with that good of a location and view and proclaiming to be the Friendly Fisherman Seafood restaurant, the food was below average at best and the seafood choices were not very good. Do yourself a favor and walk further down to the Boardwalk Grill and get a Grouper Sandwich or Lobster Roll....WAY better. I got the fisherman's... More

After a dolphin cruise we stopped here for "lunch" at 3pm. Our server had one table and we still waited 15 minutes to order, got conflicting information about the "special" and waited another 25 minutes for our entree with no iced tea refills during the whole meal.. . my husband got the clam chowder as part of his special which... Have been to the restaurant three times in the past five years, always amazed with the quality and freshness of their seafood. Have never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a table. Service is average, but the food more than makes up for it and it is fairly priced. If you like seafood, this is a must if... More
