As a 40 year A.L. and VFW member I have been to many posts throughout the US and find this post the friendliest and most active anywhere. My son and I stop here each time we fish the area and find the facilities and meals second to none. Always look forward to friendly service and comradeship at 273.

We stopped several times for dinner listening to the music on their outside waterside deck. On Saturdays they serve a four ounce filet and 5 grilled shrimp for $11.00. Great ! Had a blackened fish sandwich for $7.00 one day and it was a whole fish that was a meal in itself. You can eat there, however you have to... More

This legion is really a nice place to visit. They have a very friendly staff and great view right on the water. Can be very relaxing. They serve food at very reasonable prices and several days of the week have live entertainment. Good prices on drinks. I have always enjoyed my visit whenever I have stopped here.

The Madeira American Legion is the second largest AL in the USA. Their Post is reflective of that ranking, its open to the public for almost continuous entertainment, including their fabulous waterfront patio with docks that you can pull right up to and enjoy the entertainment and good food at below reasonable prices. If your a veteran, your welcome here,... More

Went in May as associate legion members from Canada. Were told we could not order alcohol. I see on Facebook that all Canadian legion members have been welcomed back as of October 1st. Hope this is true, we missed visiting while we were there.

I stop here on every visit to the Tampa Bay area. They have a fantastic dining deck with a Tiki bar and the views are great, while having something to eat with a couple of cold ones. I am a member of the American Legion and have been treated with respect from the employees and members of this Post!

Drinks at noon on Sunday on the deck; the view of the ICW cannot be beat and the mixed drink prices are the best around. You must be a member and they accept only cash. Live music.
