Best Seat in the House

We had never visited Dry Dock despite many recommendations. When we entered upstairs, we were given a beeper and prepared for a long wait at the bar. Our good fortune was to meet Kim, an excellent bartender, and to have a table for two near the end of bar become available. We both had the... read more

This very casual restaurant located on the bay is an excellent choice for lunch and a splurge for fried food! We started with a perfect Bloody Mary and the fried Gulf shrimp which were lightly battered and cooked to perfection. For our entree, we shared the lobster tacos and the fried grouper tacos (there were two of each so it... More

5 friends dropped by for late lunch. All of us had locally sourced seafood ...plus drinks. It was reasonable in a beautiful locale on Sarasota Bay.

Had the best crab cake in my life! Great sea food, friendly service, but a mob scene! Call first for "preferential seating." When we arrived at 7:30 we, and everyone else that walked in were told it would be an hour fifteen minute wait. But when I said I had called and had a reservation, we got seated right away.

Great location. Very nicely done all is all. Would recommend. Go early (4:30 or 5) or after 7 to avoid the wait. Does not take reservations.

I am a tough to please customer as I am a professor of Restaurant Managment. The dinner my son and I had at the Dry Dock was terrific. Tiffany, our server was friendly and fun! The view from the corner table upstairs was breathtaking. We were able to see dolfins playing! The Sea Bass was fresh grilled, tender asparagus, excellent... More

This was by far one of the best dining experiences we had in the general Sarasota environs. Celebrating our 42nd anniversary so they gave is a prime waterfront table upstairs with a great view of the bay. Our waitress was attentive and helpful throughout the evening. We had snapper and sea bass and it was prepared perfectly. You get a... More

We climed the stairs (elevator available) to the third floor not knowing what to expect. We were greeted with 180 degree windows facing the water. Our table was covered with a sheet of paper covering the table cloth - a little turn off, our only one. Our service was professional and efficient. We started with sharing the mussels appetizer (12.95)which... More

Went for dinner recently to this non assuming restaurant located amongst dry dock boats. No reservation, went there were placed a list, said it would be about 1/2 hour and they were right on time. Large place, lots of room. They have both inside and outside seating. There is a separate bar where you can order a pre-dinner drink while... More

Mom lives just down the street so it's very convenient. I always get their seafood fettuccine which has shrimp and scallops with a white sauce. I have tried their fish and chips which is very good. If possible try to sit outside on their patio. They do have several boat slips so you can come off the water to the... More
