Good

If you've been to Bouley and Jean Georges in New York, the Maison Blanche is in a similar category but with less courses. The quality is there but we left looking for more desserts.

My husband and I have driven past this restaurant many times over the years, while staying on Longboat Key. It was a visit by my well traveled sister and her husband, who dine out frequently, that prompted our visit to Maison Blanche. What a treat! The decor is minimalist, with white linen covered table cloths and white draped walls, and... More

We loved Maison Blanche. Very eclectic atmosphere, all white interior, fully draped. Excellent service and selection. We cabbed it to restaurant and had trouble getting cab to pick us up. So server drove us 10 min ride home to hotel. Fantastic evening.

We were treated to delicately prepared French cuisine at Maison Blanche with good French wines in a refined atmosphere. Our table of six enjoyed delicious and light crab appetizers, chanterelles and carpaccio. Our entrees were poached halibut, short ribs, filet and sea bass, all hitting there respective marks. For dessert, most of us enjoyed a delightful pineapple coconut mousse and... More

Don't trust all the positive reviews here; I don't understand them. The restaurant was also filled; something else I can't understand. This restaurant, given the very high price, was sub par at every step. It began by our asking the person who brought our menus whether they had cocktails; she said she would have to ask. She never returned. They... More

Easiily the best restaurant in the area. Most of all, we enjoyed the lovely leisurely pace of the meal. So many places in Sarasota seem to push people through so quickly presumably just to rebook tables but Maison Blanche makes eating out a real dining experience similar to the best european restaurants.

We dined at Maison Blanche on a recent trip to Sarasota and would highly recommend it. As others have said, it is nothing special from the outside and there is no view, but this dining experience is all about the food. The special the night we were there was Dover sole -- it was cooked to perfection and absolutely the... More

This restaurant was hard to find but worth finding. Very small and intimate and limited menu but food was really good. I loved how they didn't Rush us thru the meal and it was a three hour event which was nice for a change.

We make sure that every year we are visiting the area we eat at least twice here because it is still far and away the best restaurant in the area. Superb ingredients ; subtle flavours ; excellent, discreet but attentive service ; very good advice re wines and combinations. There is no view ; the waiter doesn't want to be... More
