We had a very pleasant experience.

Sat outside and watched the fish jump and the pelicans and the sail boats. Lovely ambiance. The stone crab was delicious and the mustard sauce amazing. I've eaten at Joe's Stone Crab in Miami many times, they are not quite there ... but still very good! Yes, the restaurant is dated and... read more

My husband and I visited this restaurant in Longboat Key, FL. The clam chowder was amazing. Had the calamari but found them too overly battered. Also had the stone crabs... In March they only serve them cold, I prefer them warm, but they were still good and vey fresh. Our waiter was a very polite young local who was very... More

After a 25- year hiatus, we dined here for dinner. Looked EXACTLY the same. The cold crab claws are excellent as is the lobster crab bisque. Anything else is quite unspectacular. Expensive with small portions.

The atmosphere is vintage seafood palace and laid back. No frills just the good lets say "Fried Shrimp" so sweet they melt in your mouth. You will never get a better quality stone crab anywhere (in Miami maybe.) My parents brought me by boat 43 years ago when they had a dolphin swimming at the docks. The restaurant has not... More

What a disaster! We were four people. One said it was "OK", three of us agreed -- it was the worst meal we'd had in a long time. Where to begin? The (very expensive) crab claws ordered for an appetiser were tasteless, literally. And, with their consistency, could only have been frozen. In fact, the two different fish ordered as... More

Moore's is consistently good seafood. This family-run business has been a staple on Longboat Key for some time. Most of the interior of the restaurant is very tired and depressing. (I understand they have plans in front of the Longboat Key board to make many improvements.). However, you can sit outside, right over the water, which makes it very pleasant.... More

Since most restaurants have long waits at dinner time we chose to come early. Upon entry into this old rundown building the first thing we noticed was the musty, fishy smell (I know.........this is seafood restaurant), so we chose an outdoor table. Fresh air and nice view of the harbour. Our waitress Denise was very helpful in selecting our dinner... More

Four of us ate here this week. The clam chowder was terrific. We had stuffed shrimp (with crab), coconut shrimp, and crab cake dinner. It was all very good. We ate outside. Very nice dinner.

Moore's is an old fashioned outdated old school Florida seafood restaurant. This is not meant to be negative. The building is old. The view of the marina is very nice. We started with some oysters which were very good. Large seafood menu.. much of which is fried, but other options. Stone crabs were quite good. The service was above average... More

This restaurant is an OK choice, but I think did not deliver on our expectations. For example, considering the fairly high-end community its in, they surprisingly did not offer the best quality gin for Martinis, or just much that I thought was top-drawer. My wife had a yen for Stone Crab, having enjoyed them at Joe's in Miami Beach years... More
