The location is beautiful, on the water with sealife and birds abounding. The food is delicious and the service is very friendly. It's the same as it's been since the 1970s which is fantastic. Fab location, but serving crackers wrapped in cellophane in lieu of home-baked organic bread is beyond the pale. After a meal of catfish and french fries I was sick for two days - but my guest had no "side-effects". more

Moores is the last of the "Old Florida Restaurants" left around. The birds are there because it is a dock, that is where they bring in the best Stone Crabs in FLA. Try the seafood soup or the grouper sandwich. Moores isn't fancy, it's just GREAT. lbkbob more

my family and I just returned from Longboat key, and we ate at Moore's stone crab (on the bay). The food was average- nothing special. The atmosphere was lacking a little. While overlooking the bay was pretty- the decor suffered. There are alot better other places to eat on the island. more
