Good meal, friendly service

We enjoyed a nice meal here. Nothing spectacular or unique, but good nonetheless. The best part was the dessert. They put a brownie in creme brulee. It sounds strange, but it was delicious. The service was very good.

Although food and service are extremely important, it is the management that makes it all possible. Eric Flanagan, the manager of the Lazy Lobster in Longboat Key, Fl., makes it all work! He works in the kitchen, answers the phone, greets customers, and does whatever it takes to make this restaurant the best! On Thursday, April 16, our party of... More

It is difficult to get a reservation at dinner time. Because people are waiting to be seated one feels like one needs to eat quickly and leave.

No other superlatives needed: simply the best value on Longboat Key. Taken together, best food, best price, best service, best decor, best value. Often sold out for five days in advance during the winter season. Located mid-Key at the Center Shops, there is always adequate parking. The Lazy Lobster features lobster, fresh seafood, poultry, pasta and meats. There are nightly... More

The previous positive reviews about the food at Lazy Lobster LBK are the same as mine. But it is the outstanding staff particularly Mac the hostess and Eric the manager, and our waiter whenever possible, Gabriel , who without doubt is one of the best we have encountered in our travels around the world that make this place so special--and... Lazy Lobster is a wonderful place to enjoy a wonderfully prepared meal with friends and family. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Please call ahead and ask for a reservation especially if you are there during the busy season. I love Maine Lobster and they know how to cook it and present it to you if... More

My wife and I were vacationing in the area and just happened upon the Lazy Lobster while driving one night. The main dining area was full and not accepting any more diners, but we waited just 20 minutes to be seated outside. Everything, and I mean everything we ate was fabulous. The attention to detail and flavor of each dish... More

I was worried about the menu, because my 11 year old is picky, and no on in my family other than myself likes lobster. The food was excellent! The family all got fresh catches, all good! I loved the lobster mac and cheese...so good! We sat outside on the patio, which was landscaped nicely with lights and heaters. Nice vacation... More

Longboat Key is a magnificent backdrop for a gourmet-quality Easter meal at The Lazy Lobster. Diners enjoy tender, mouth-watering lamb shanks, light crab cakes touched by a spicy remoullade, chunky, butter-dipped lobster "scargot," - all to the happy trilling of the cardinals, and the watery cascades of the various mood-enhancing fountains dispersed throughout the tree-shaded areas of the restaurant terrace....
