Fun place to dine, as you take a water taxi across the intercostal to reach the island where the restaurant is located. Passing some of south Florida's impressive homes. Reservations needed and seems more exotic after sunset. Be sure to get the story of the place and take the time to wander through the bar looking at photos from the... More

We went to Cap's based on a recommendation from a Florida Native and were not disappointed in any way. The short boat ride was nice and leisurely, the Captain was entertaining and courteous. Since we arrived early, we headed to the bar but were heeded by a sign to "check in with restaurant" before coming into the bar. Hmmm, simple... More

This place is such a mixed bag. First, the pros: The boat ride over to the restaurant is fun, hands down. Cap'n Joey is polite and friendly. The actual building itself is the original, about 87 years old at this point so it has a cozy Old Florida feel to it which I highly prize. Our waiter Ed was great... More

The boat ride was nice and captain of the boat was nice. The bar tender was rude and the host with the blue hair. She called people with her fingers. We were bitten by bugs waiting outside. Our waiter was pleasant. The food were over priced, it wasn't that great to be that over prized. They need better service in... More

This little island in the middle of the intra-coastal contains the oldest restaurant in Broward County. The buildings are very old but it is a charming place with great service and great food. If you visit, you must visit the bar first which is a separate building and get a real dose of the nostalgia contained here, and then go... More

Cap's Place has such an opportunity. Unfortunately, they fall short on delivery. With an 80 year history in the area, Cap's Place could be a 5 star destination restaurant and bar in South Florida. (Google it for the history!) The bar is amazing with the walls littered with photographs from the 30's and 40's. What a great place to take... More

Went to Cap's for dinner with family and had one of the best seafood dinners I have ever had. First the boat ride to the restaurant was pretty cool, haven't done that in a long time. The brief walk to the restaurant was no problem, raining a little on the way back so a cover at the dock would have... More

Cap's Place was simply fantastic. It is a little off the path. You actually hop on a small boat to get there. The restaurant looks like something from the 1920's. great atmosphere. The blakened Cajun Mahi might be the best piece of fish I have ever eaten. The potatoes and veggies were also fantastic. A great getaway for adults. Will... More

If you are in teh area you must go to this very cool "Prohibition" era restaurant and Bar. Many cool Photos in both the restaurant and Bar area. You must a take a Boat to get to the restaurant but it is a great ride across a small Bay. Food is Excellent - but Pricey. A "Must See" in my... More
