We love Cap's! Fun boat ride over and if you get a good driver he will tell you about thre area. The bar is a quaint place to hang out for a drink. It's also nice to take you drinks outside and watch the boat traffic. Love, love, love the crab cakes and hearts of palm salad. I feel like... More

Caps Place is a "must" see if you want to recapture the feel of a 1920's eatery and bar. The boat ride, the low ceilings in the bar and restaurant, and the old-time good service make this a great memory to take home with you. Besides, you won't get a better crab cake anywhere!

This place is very charming and full of nostalgia. Hit the bar after you dock which is a separate building you'll get to see all the pictures from years back. Lots of Florida History its like 80 years old. Service was above average but not super. The crab cakes are the best item on the menu most items are A... More

You park in Lighthouse Point parking lot and take a shuttle boat over inland waterway to the restaurant. Feels strange to stand in an empty lot with no restaurant, but shuttle was only 10 minutes over to the restaurant. Restaurant has wonderful seafood and nice atmosphere, but is relatively high priced. Definitely a tourist trap.

You arrive by their boat which is a unique experience. Mainland parking was not that good but we did find a spot. The restaurant is visually unappealing on the outside ... but quaint with 'old tyme' ambiance on the inside. Nothing wrong with the food. The evening was an 'experience package' that is both fun and interesting. Many people love... More

What a hidden gem on a little island that you can only get to by a boat that picks you up at the parking lot. Going inside there are pictures of FDR and Winston Churchill who came down here to talk about ending WW II. Al Capone and Jack Dempsey. Service was quality and very well done. The food was... More

Getting to Cap's is half the fun, taking a small ferry from the parking lot to the restaurant. Once there the quaint exterior doesn't prepare you for the excellent food within. All was excellent; however, the crab cakes were by far the finest that we have ever had! We ordered them as an appetizer but had we known how very... More

Four of us went there for dinner 4/18/15. Meal was excellent. Service wonderful. We got there around 5:30 pm and were told there would be a 40 minute wait. As it was raining like a monsoon we decided to stay and wait. The wait turned out to be just 15 minutes or so and the meal would have been worth... More

Well let's just say it was a fun way to go out to dinner. Arrived at ferry parking and was first amazed by all the reef fish under the dock water was crystal clear then the boat captain was funny he was yelling at all the out of town idiots to sit in certain spots on boat so boat wouldn't... More
