For such a small restaurant to offer such a large variety of regular menu entrees plus specials was surprising. One in our party order the shrimp jambalaya which came with enormous shrimp and was very spicy as ordered. Two ordered veal scaloppini which they said was excellent. I ordered the veal parm which was good, but the veal had been... More

We hadn't been to the Rusty Duck in a couple of years and to our pleasant surprise, the quality of food was still very high and the entrees were delicious. Corkage fee has risen to $2.00 per person (BYOB) but that is better than the outrageious wine prices some of the other local eateries are charging. DO NOT GO THERE... More

The foos was very good. Fresh seafood. Bring your friends a couple bottles of your favorite wine. You need to plan ahead and make reservations. Small but friendly and quaint. Prices have risen steadily, which is too bad but it is worth at least one trip to try the wonderful food

We've been there several times before, and although food and service have been "spotty", this time it was unforgivable. We arrived promptly for the last seating at 7:30. We had ordered prime rib "in advance" for two of the five in our party. The waiter ( one of only two who we observed taking care of the entire restaurant) was... More

I am a New York City retiree that owes a home in Citrus County. I prefaced me review with that info so that readers are aware that I have dined in both moderate and elegant restaurants. Having said that, the Rusty Duck is a physical eyesore and one might hesitate to pass through the doors. Once seated, the tables are... More

A Little difficult to find, but once you start to eat, it is fantastic. It is a bring your on wine place and reservations are a requirement, otherwise you will never get seated. They have two seating at 5 and 7 and each is filled so make your plans well in advance. They have a large menu and everyone we... More

Been here twice now, food and service is excellent, Prices are higher than other places in the area so we save this for birthdays, anniversaries, special guests when they are in town.

To start with, this is upscale dining. Very very good food with an extensive menu of steaks, seafood, veal, chicken ... and duck. All prepared many different ways. None of this is apparent from outside (overgrown and not kept up) or inside (looks like an aging diner) BUT the food and the service are absolutely terrific! You must have reservations,... More

Made reservations for New Year's Day. Only three tables because restaurant is usually closed New Year's Day. Reservations are required most nights. It was like private dinning with owner doing the cooking. We have duck jambalaya. They have duck four different ways. Prime rib is a specialty and must be preordered. DON'T LET the outside of building scare you.

Three of us dined at the Rusty Duck on the 16th of January. Prime Rib, Shrimp and Veal. All served with soup and salad. Good service from our waitress. This was our first time at the Rusty Duck, and we were happy for the recommendation.
