I went to the Rusty Duck with friends who had never been there before. I have eaten dinner there more than once and it was good. So, I was excited to take my friends there. The service was awful, the food was not good and the atmosphere was poor. First, our waitress didn't have a clue. Any question we asked... More

We were looking for a "nice" restaurant in the area since we are fairly new to Florida. Some elderly neighbors recommended it, although they hadn't been there in a few years. The outside is an overgrown mess, the building looks abandoned except for the new sign. Inside is small, you must reserve a table in advance and they have "seating"... More

Probably the worst dining experience in my life. Made a reservation 4 days in advance and ordered prime rib for one (required ordered in advance). Upon arriving in the restaurant we were seated next to a loud and profane group that made it difficult to even hear speaking in a normal voice. The occasion was our first anniversary, and we... The rest of the positive reviews have stated the case so well. If you haven't tried this establishment, you must. I passed by this place for years as do most people who could not possibly know what auspicious cuisine lies behind the a most simple and unembellished exterior.

Maybe not as high a rating in Manhattan, but in Lecanto, this is the place to go. My experience is that the less saucy the entree, the better it is. Duck and beef are both excellent. Salad and soup come with the meal. On a recent trip, we had an excellent cream of carrot soup, the salad was good, as... More

My wife and I ate at this restaurant for our 45th wedding anniversary. It had been recommended to us by friends. It's not much to look at, we drove by it twice before we found it, but the menu is huge and the food was excellent. I had the king size serving of Prime Rib and it must have been... More

I have no idea how they do it but this restaurant has the widest choice of interesting things on the menu and all of it freshly cooked.Don't be put off by the somewhat rural look (that's being polite !) just make a booking, and for once they really mean it when they say bookings are essential. The prime rib would... More

For such a small restaurant to offer such a large variety of regular menu entrees plus specials was surprising. One in our party order the shrimp jambalaya which came with enormous shrimp and was very spicy as ordered. Two ordered veal scaloppini which they said was excellent. I ordered the veal parm which was good, but the veal had been... More

We hadn't been to the Rusty Duck in a couple of years and to our pleasant surprise, the quality of food was still very high and the entrees were delicious. Corkage fee has risen to $2.00 per person (BYOB) but that is better than the outrageious wine prices some of the other local eateries are charging. DO NOT GO THERE... More

The foos was very good. Fresh seafood. Bring your friends a couple bottles of your favorite wine. You need to plan ahead and make reservations. Small but friendly and quaint. Prices have risen steadily, which is too bad but it is worth at least one trip to try the wonderful food
