Here's the Beef

We ordered several entres. Shaking beef was probably the best. The meat was tender and the dish was well seasoned.

After spending a few days in the Fort Lauderdale area, we have been craving for a decent Asian dinner. We check the Trip Advisor reviews for Vietnamese restaurants in the area and pick the Basilic Grill for its 'Pho" and Vermicelli noodles. Our party arrives in the early Friday evening, and the restaurant is quite busy already. We order a... More

Great food one of the best pho in fort lauderdale, but with bad customer service waiters, 3 of us went for dinner at 19:28 on a tuesday nigth and were greeted by this young hostess that told us in a loud voice," you only have 2 minutes to order" no good evening, or welcome or i am sorry but our... Five of us went -- two seniors and three millennials. Several of us ordered curry chicken and I tried the house special fried rice. It was all very good -- and I have eaten LOTS of fried rice dishes. The plates went back pretty empty -- which was a challenge since the portions are ample. Friendly service and good food... More

If you're looking for some hearty Pho, Basilic is a great local place to get some. With a nice variety of Vietnamese cuisine, Basilic is a great choice for lunch or dinner. The place is clean and modern, located a block from A1A & Commercial Blvd. My pick - Grilled Beef Pho has great flavor and is moderately price ($11).... More

Wanted something different and within walking distance of the resort. This was perfect. Small place in like a strip mall setting but very tastefully decorated with nice ambience. We started with chicken pho for the four of us - pretty good and filling. We got three apps - rocket shrimp - good, pork and shrimp rolls - avg, and basilic... More

I have to tell you the truth, I have a very limited knowledge of Vietnamese food (my wife is the expert), but... I know when I eat good food. First sights: small place, modern style, nothing to do with the traditional Vietnamese restaurant, with its (so graceful) water-fall painting illuminated, the flashy red wall and the omnipresent dragon. Thanks God,... More

My first visit here tonight, and first impressions go a long way with me. I decided to try Basilic based on recommendations by a few friends, as well a one from a friend who happens to be Vietnamese. I can't remember the names of the dishes we had, as someone else did all of the ordering. What I can tell... More

This place is fantastic. Really good food, authentically spicy - definitely not made bland. Excellent value.

This was our third time to this restaurant. We travel to Asia yearly and were really happy to have found a wonderful restaurant close to home. The food is flavorful and transports us back to Southeast Asia. They say the third time is a charm but in this case, the third time is the last time we'll eat at this... More
