I was visiting from out of state and went for lunch here with relatives, who live locally. We ordered sausage and penne. The sausage was just right--not overly spicy nor bland--and unbelievably tender. The portions were quite large. We also had a few yummy garlic knots. Probably could have forgone that extra, as we were later offered garlic bread. The... More

This was our first visit to Romeo's but will definitely not be the last! We were surprised by the number of special Italian dishes they offered that night. We started off with the Bruschetta. The serving size was enormous! Fresh tomatoes, olives, parmesan cheese and olive oil..delicious. The only thing we added was salt. I had the meat calzone and... More

The owner will personally come out to meet every one of his customers and he is a great host. Other than that, everything was about par. The food is food, but nothing better than Olive Garden.

Hot fresh baked bread, as good as it gets! Salmon dinner included crab cakes, plenty of fresh vegetables as well, with a salad too, all generous portions! The pizza was exactly as ordered, with pepperoni, spicy ham, artichokes, mushrooms and black olives, fresh sliced Roma tomatoes, and lastly a topping of fresh spinach and basil for the last two minutes... Usually, we'll-established restaurants present a "stand-alone" invitation of potential; however, Romeo's Italian Restaurant presents just the opposite. An assumed (typical) "hole-in-the-wall," strip mall/fast food grease pit, will shock those that actually venture in to try their "wares." Coming from a large Italian family -not too far from Ellis Island itself, the kitchen, and (more precisely stated) food was ALWAYS at... More

Romeo's was recently sold and it just isn't the same without Leno and Manwella! They say it is suppose to be exactly the same, but I found it not to be. They would always make you whatever you wanted, whether it was on the menu or not!

We are originally from Boston and have the benefit of wonderful Italian food in the North End. Searched for a while in Florida but finally found Romeo's - and this compares very well with the Boston North End. Went there yesterday (a party of six). We all had something different and every dish was wonderful. We had four different chicken... More

Visiting for a spring training game, we decided to give Romeo's a try. What a great decision! The garlic bread was mildly seasoned and delicious. The garden salad was fresh with a good house dressing. I had gnocchi carne that was excellent, with gnocchi in a creamy tomato sauce with meat. My wife had fettuccine in a meat sauce that... More

We have been eating here since the 2007. I am really a fan of this place! The North Side of Lakeland has been crying for an original dining experience forever! I have given up on Olive Garden and forgotten where it is! The portions are excellent! You can have a lunch sized meal for dinner or take home your extras... More

The service was fine, the place was crowded....but, I'm a fan of pizza, and I don't really think this is it!!! I do not like their sausage at all, it is slices of a sausage. It appears to me (or tastes) that this pizza is pre-cooked as a cheese pizza, then the stuff added and re-cooked. They do not have... More
