This is the nicest little restaurant ever. Great view. Charming signed historic photos of its glamorous guests from its heyday (near the door). Different pictorial china place settings abound. Walk around the room and look at the variety. Don't miss the antiques. Noted for the grapefruit and the escarole soup. I especially enjoyed the soup. Anyway, this is a terrific... More

Sorry to see this Landmark close it's doors. It was a unique historic Inn and restaurant with its own soup cannery, ceramic shop and airstrip. I hope someone will buy this propert and open something wonderful.

This was a phenomenal place to visit and holds a great many memories, but now, the magic is gone: They closed in August 2014 and are selling the resort and all its other associated businesses.

This place is truly a one-of-a kind, eclectic wonderland. The service, ambiance and food are unparalleled. Lobster Thermidor on puff pastry - after the delectable Romaine soup, Caesar salad and Italian ice, only to followed by the best Walnut Carrot Cake I have ever eaten. Mmmm. It is sad that they are closed after 83 years. I have had so... More

We spent our honeymoon at Chalet Suzanne in 2001 and enjoyed it so much we have returned every year since for an anniversary celebration. Alas, this wonderful meal and experience will be our last. The service was excellent, the food and wine superb! We enjoyed a fantastic bottle of Opus One wine for our final dinner experience in their intimate... More

85 yrs of tradition to excellence. We were fortunate to enjoy one last stay and meal at the Chalet. Generations have come to enjoy this place and I will be sad to see it go. We have come here annually (sometimes bi annually) for 17 years and time seems to have stood still in the small slice of heaven. When... More

Sorry to say our dinner was not up to expectations. We decided on the lobster newburg based on previous reviews. It was very overdone. The top was actually charred, and the lobster dry and chewey. Drink service was very slow, and we noticed the cocktail we ordered at the table was about half the size of the one served at... More

There were 7 people in my Wedding Dining Party. I had the Lobster Newburg and it was absolutely delicious! The puff pastry was wonderfully flakey and the chunks of lobster were moist and sweet. The Filet Mignon was cooked to a medium rare perfection. The Duck was tender and non greasy. We all had a 5 course dinner and everything... More
