This place is truly a one-of-a kind, eclectic wonderland. The service, ambiance and food are unparalleled. Lobster Thermidor on puff pastry - after the delectable Romaine soup, Caesar salad and Italian ice, only to followed by the best Walnut Carrot Cake I have ever eaten. Mmmm. It is sad that they are closed after 83 years. I have had so... More

We spent our honeymoon at Chalet Suzanne in 2001 and enjoyed it so much we have returned every year since for an anniversary celebration. Alas, this wonderful meal and experience will be our last. The service was excellent, the food and wine superb! We enjoyed a fantastic bottle of Opus One wine for our final dinner experience in their intimate... More

85 yrs of tradition to excellence. We were fortunate to enjoy one last stay and meal at the Chalet. Generations have come to enjoy this place and I will be sad to see it go. We have come here annually (sometimes bi annually) for 17 years and time seems to have stood still in the small slice of heaven. When... More

Sorry to say our dinner was not up to expectations. We decided on the lobster newburg based on previous reviews. It was very overdone. The top was actually charred, and the lobster dry and chewey. Drink service was very slow, and we noticed the cocktail we ordered at the table was about half the size of the one served at... More

There were 7 people in my Wedding Dining Party. I had the Lobster Newburg and it was absolutely delicious! The puff pastry was wonderfully flakey and the chunks of lobster were moist and sweet. The Filet Mignon was cooked to a medium rare perfection. The Duck was tender and non greasy. We all had a 5 course dinner and everything... More

As always the food, serivce and piano music by Sam Anderson were beyond perfect. Sooooo sad to see this historic land mark closed soon. Hopefully someone will buy it and keep it exactly the same. A great escape from this crazy, busy world we live in.Helder was our server on my mother's 80th. birthday dinner. He did a great job. Also the... More

Went for dinner last weekend. Had their traditional 5 course dinner. Beyond excellent. The service was fantastic, the food superb. So enjoyable - between courses we could actually hear our table mates conversation, with the gentle tunes coming from a live person playing the piano. We heard that they were delaying their August closing a week to accommodate their guests... More

The food at this restaurant was very good. The service is quick and the people are friendly. The restaurant itself is like a little museum. My husband and I went for breakfast, which was included in the price of our room at Chalet Suzanne Hotel. The Swedish pancakes were great and tasty!!

Both dinner and breakfast were very nice but dinner was not inexpensive. But it is a place you definitely want to go before it closes apparently forever on our about 8/4/14. :-(
