My husband and I went for lunch on Saturday. We both had the crab cake sandwich. It was very good. I had been once before and was not impressed. This visit more than made up for that. The sandwich looked very good and tasted even better. The place doesn't look like much but don't let that fool you. This place... More

Touted as a true, "Old Florida" dining experience, I was ready for a backwoods treat. The food was less than expected in price and not as good in quality as I was lead to believe. I menu with cajun overtones offered a variety of seafood related items with a cream sauce topping. It was worth going to...once. I did like... More

After a feeling of never finding this little prize, we drove up to this restaurant located in a small fishing camp. Feeling a little apprehensive of the location, I and my family walked around to see a boat ramp leading into the water with a small gator sitting on a dock, and a large turtle waiting behind him for his... If you are in search of an excellent meal, & a great value, visit Cherry Pocket Steak & Seafood Shak! Way off the beaten path, this is a great place to sample local seafood. A very "local" joint, with little or no atmosphere, but we have always found the food to be delicious & very reasonably priced. And very friendly... More

My wife and I were excited to go here for dinner, but I was disappointed with the atmosphere and overpriced food. Also, a bit TOO local for me. The food was ok, and atmosphere was fair. It's a little hot to sit outside along with mosquitos and fly's. I would not go back again or recommend.

If you are looking for "Old Florida" go no further than Cherry Pocket, located amid small cabins near the water. It's one of our favorite places to take people who have never heard of it. We stopped for a late lunch while returning from Palm Beach and had a most enjoyable lunch. Our server, Jessie, went out of her way... More

We were told that it was a "Must" to visit Cherry Pockets when we moved to Lake Wales. We saw a billboard and decided to go see what the "must" was all about. You think youve made a wrong turn by the time you finally see the sign and arrow directing you into what appears (and is) a run down... More

Been there before, so wanted to go back. Walked in and the hostess acted like we were bothering her. So she said it was a 30 min wait, when there were empty tables. She sent us to go sit outside at the bar while it was raining. Tried to order drinks it took over 10 min to get a drink,... More
