The broiled flounder did not taste fresh and the sides of okra/tomatoes and green beans were just so-so. My husband said the clam chowder was good not great. Service was very friendly. I noticed that everyone orders fried everything there. Now I know.

If you want good food (esp. fish) Cedar River is the place to go. I have always enjoyed their fish plates. You get enough to fill you up and it's good.

Do your taste buds a favor and visit this local Florida restaurant for some fresh seafood. My fiancé and I enjoyed it so much the first time we ate here on our way to Cocoa Beach, Florida that we decided to eat here on our return trip to our home state. We both ordered the daily special which was grouper... More

Fabulous lunch and friendly staff! If you're craving a great "southern meal" this is the place. Great sweet tea, hush puppies, fried green tomatoes, and too course the seafood- very very good! Staff was friendly, kind, and prompt.

A seafood joint that is frequented by the locals. Inside is a simple open concept dining room with old fashion maritime décor. The menu featured fresh seafood of all varieties and Southern side dishes and appetizers. Special was crawfish which we ordered for apps as well as fried pickle chips. Both were crisp and delicious. As an entrée I had... More

The food was excellent. The service was very good even though they were short handed. Those working were a very good team and worked efficiently

Stopped in to get 3 carry out dinners (fried shrimp and oysters, fried flounder, and fried shrimp). All three dinners were well prepared and was not overly greasy. The variety of sides (French fries, green beans, fried okra, cole shaw) were hot (except for the cole shaw which was cold). The portions were large. While waiting on the carry out,... More

My family and I were staying in Lake City for the night on our way down further south into Florida. We looked around for a local place to eat, and ended up deciding on Cedar River. I will say the outside is a little deceiving - it looked more like a dark bar. However, there were several older couples around... More

We recently moved to Lake City and had eaten here in the past. Never disappointed! I usually order the fried pollock with cheese grits and coleslaw. At lunch time for just a little more, they offer all you can eat. The portions are generous, the fried fish is crispy and cooked just right. Have also had the blackened fish. The... More
