Stop by on our way south on I75. The meal selected was freshly fried, the vegetables were tender and the waiter service was good. The portions were plentiful and the price was very good. This is not a fancy restaurant, but an excellent place for locals to eat. Recommended.

When my husband and I travel we always look for local places, something we can't get at home. After checking other reviews we decided on Cedar River Seafood in Lake City. The building isn't impressive and when you walk in its kinda dingy. Don't be fooled!! I had the Red Snapper which was delicious. I even received an extra piece... More

This is the place that the local folks go. We wanted to try the locally owned restaurant. This is our fish time. We were noy disappointed. The food was great. We highly recommend this restaurant. We will be back again and again.

The broiled flounder did not taste fresh and the sides of okra/tomatoes and green beans were just so-so. My husband said the clam chowder was good not great. Service was very friendly. I noticed that everyone orders fried everything there. Now I know.

If you want good food (esp. fish) Cedar River is the place to go. I have always enjoyed their fish plates. You get enough to fill you up and it's good.

Do your taste buds a favor and visit this local Florida restaurant for some fresh seafood. My fiancé and I enjoyed it so much the first time we ate here on our way to Cocoa Beach, Florida that we decided to eat here on our return trip to our home state. We both ordered the daily special which was grouper... More

Fabulous lunch and friendly staff! If you're craving a great "southern meal" this is the place. Great sweet tea, hush puppies, fried green tomatoes, and too course the seafood- very very good! Staff was friendly, kind, and prompt.

A seafood joint that is frequented by the locals. Inside is a simple open concept dining room with old fashion maritime décor. The menu featured fresh seafood of all varieties and Southern side dishes and appetizers. Special was crawfish which we ordered for apps as well as fried pickle chips. Both were crisp and delicious. As an entrée I had... More
