Last week it was a spur of the moment decision to run down to Lavender N Lace. This great tea room is close enough to the Orlando area that we can go for lunch whenever we please. While they do not have Afternoon Tea or High Tea on a regular basis, their lunches are excellent and paired with a pot... More

Such a cute place! The outside, the inside, the food, the service - all was so charming. A cup of soup is $4, the entrees $13, ice tea $2 (refill!!!). The Asparagus soup was good, the chicken soup excellent with a slightly sweet touch. Crispy chicken was yummy and very filling! Honey had a country pie I think it was... More

We read about his charming tea room in the Lakeland Ledger newspaper and decided to give it a try. It was not easy to find but we were glad we persevered. A wonderful lunch awaited us. The dining room and glassed in porch were filled with guests. The menu offered a nice variety of food. The portions were generous and... More

I first hear about this charming tearoom in Polk County when I sign up for a day outing to Lake Alfred. It is love at first sight. The teahouse seems to be in the middle of nowhere. Our group of twenty travelers arrives here for lunch one recent weekday with a reservation for 12 noon. The two big vans have... More

For a lovely, leisurely, special luncheon and a bit of shopping in a country setting, this unique place fits the bill and then some. Decorated in a charming tea room style in a quaint two story, it features an outside gift shop and patio. The food is not the ordinary and expertly prepared. This is the place you want to... More

This elegant little tea room is located on a quiet back street in Lake Alfred, You won't be alone, but, it doesn't matter. The parking lot has plenty of room, and the dining area is set up to handle a crowd. My wife and I ate there last Thursday around 1:00 p.m. Even though the place was full, we were... More

We were looking for a place that my mother-in-law would enjoy for lunch, and my husband saw the ad in travel literature. Since my mother-in-law is an avid tea drinker, this seemed like a good choice. The ad said to get off I4 at exit 44, but exit 48 is much more direct. When we pulled up out front, we... More

We had read good reviews online, but when we pulled up on a Monday around 1pm, the lot was empty. We hesitated going in….parking lot was a little sloppy and overgrown. So glad we went in. There was only one other table of guests, so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. They sat us near the window... More
