Mostly good

Decor is quietly elegant and staff very good. There were 10 of us and most enjoyed the food. The shrimp with lobster sauce was a big failure. Sauce was bland and too gelatinous. Large shrimp, though. My lettuce wraps were great. We might go again and try other entrees.

This restaurant is one of The Villages' little gem's. The menu has a very good varied selection of Asian dishes. The wait staff are very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. Sidewalk dining is a great option.

My wife and I stopped for a late lunch(our second visit)and we were appalled at the difference between our visits. While the first visit was very professionally handled, this visit left us with a vow not to come back a third time. The "bento box" held just one edible item (shrimp tempura) and the portions were decidedly small. As we... More

We love sashimi and we always get the love boat for 2 for the 4 seasons boat for 3-4. Jimmy, the sushi chef, is the best and always sends a special salad to our table and then a special dessert (apples with an orange). We always try to visit at least twice a month. Love it, love it, love it.

Have been there several times. The food is expertly prepared, with just the right amount of spices. I haven't tried their dim sum, but will soon, as that was a favorite when I visited Chinatown in San Francisco.

Enjoyed when staff moves with precision but this is when owner is around. Got impression staff avoid eye contact when they know things are not going well. Our dim sum for unknown reason was so, so delayed, was ready to leave. Staff new that meal was long over due. As member of Slow Food Society, don't mind the wait when... More

This is one of the best Asian restaurants around. Rarely can you find Dim Sum in a local area as this but in addition to excellent Asian food you can also find a nice assortment of dumplings. The food is homemade, fresh, and offers a nice variety of dishes and soups. They also feature vegetarian fare. Portions are large and... More

Went to Bamboo Bistro for the first time. The food was very good, as good as other Chinese restaurants in the area. We have Mongolian Beef and General Tao's Chicken, very good. However, the Pork Shumai was EXCELLANT. Will return.

All the usual Asian dishes that are tweaked up a notch. Sushi is always fresh and fabulous. My favorite is hot and sour soup and sesame chicken. Living in the area .....we make the Bamboo Bistro a monthly event.

You'll find a few of the old standards---lo mein, fried rice, sweet and sour--but each is prepared with a little different twist. My pork egg foo yung was made flavorful with ground pork instead of chunks and was largely onion and egg as a base. I found none of the traditional bean sprouts. My husband's sweet and sour pork was... More
