Great Additon to Gaylord Palms Kissimmee,FL

We have been attending a conference at the Gaylord Palms and had been on our feet all day. The subject of dinner came up and we were either going to get the car and speak out one of many Oleander steak restaurants, but found out that the hotel and their own steak house. Old Hickory was a big hit... read more

Old Hickory Steakhouse is located inside the Gaylord Palms resort, in Kissimmee, FL. It is their flagship restaurant, featuring dry-aged steaks, fine wine, and artisanal cheeses. It is situated above “The Everglades” a replica of a South Florida swamp. While attending a LeadingAge conference, my wife and I decided to dine there on our first night, withy my daughter and... Our table of 10 was not sure if this would be an excellent dinig experience or a "mouse"themed food location. We were very pleasantly surprised. The artisaian cheese platter wasan assortment of pure delicious. Our waiter was very knowledgable. The winelist is not over whelming. The selections are well paired with the food offered. Weall ordered the beef selections...the filet, the rib eye,... More

As part of the Gaylord Palms complex,it's kind of hidden in the vegetation..Quite Different..The food was pretty good..The alcohol is overpriced and I'm not a fan of everything being ala carte..$ 11.00 for mashed potatoes...really

We were traveling here on business. We had no reservations, and the restaurant had dinner bookings for 82 people. It wasn't looking promising for dinner. After some persuasion they did get us into the restaurant for dinner, a party of 5. We were all from Long Island, and wouldn't you know it,our waiter was a transplant to the Orlando area... More

Have eaten at The Old Hickory Steakhouse in Nashville, Dallas, and Kissimee...more than once, and must say this one is my least favorite. Last year, my husbands steak was undercooked and then overcooked. This time, again his steak was undercooked. He ordered it Medium and the center was just plain rare. He ate around the outside. I had the bone-in... More

We ate here while we were staying at the attached Gaylord Palms resort and it was genuinely one of the best meals we have had htis year! The setting is pretty with outdoor tables reminiscent of the Keys and views of the impressive glass dome of the resort. The menu was a blend of traditional steakhouse along with some more... More

Was expecting the restaurant to be overrated but once I went in they had wonderful service. Once I ordered the steak and went in for it I realized it's not overrated at all and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had. Nice restaurant setting and great service and food!

The food is really great but I'm glad my bills were paid by the company. Steaks range from $38-$60 and the Fish was around $28. Wine $10 glass and call Brands equally expensive. Since I did not have to pay for the meal, not taking price into account this was fantastic food and great service and atmosphere
