Fast, friendly, & not fancy

A big menu of standard breakfast and lunch choices, with a few local and uncommon items thrown in. A cacophany of voices, a pert and ultra efficient waitress. Cozy spacing of tables, and walls crowded with funny signs and of course wooden spoons. It felt homey, friendly, and "just folks."

A casual home local cooking eating diner with walls covered with wooden spoons and other items. We enjoyed our breakfast of scrambled eggs, ham, grits, biscuit and pancake. The waitress was very pleasant, attentive and efficient. She filled our coffee cups several times. The prices are reasonable. We will return.

The title says it all. The service was friendly and prompt, the portions were ample and delicious, and the prices were reasonable. I wasn't particularly hungry so I ordered a croissant sandwich, thinking that would be a small portion. Was I ever wrong! It was a huge and delicious egg/bacon sandwich (and I loooove sandwiches). If you're going to eat... More

No frills or fancies just plain old good food & friendly service. I always sit at the counter, the food is cooked right there in front of you. Prices are very reasonable & portions more than adequate (biggest biscuits you'll ever see). Real old style Keys diner(I don't think they have 2 dishes that match but they're always clean). They... On our last day from the Keys we stopped at Wooden Spoon as we did not have another opportunity to visit this place. We tried but it was so very busy on a Sunday morning that we decided that we will try another day. The server was the sweetest person one can get as a server. She was very efficient... More

Bad smell, filthy menus, table & floor, chipped paint, rusty support posts, slow service, cheese wiz (I think) on my eggs. Trust me, I like rustic, but this was borderline rancid.

We went here for breakfast, we just stumbled upon it one morning. The parking lot was packed and the restaurant was close to full. Our hungry bellies took this as a good sign. The waitress was friendly and efficient. The food was pretty basic but very, very good. We had basic bacon and eggs and both our plates were prepared... More
