We drove through most of Marathon to eat a late lunch at this walk up order/small sit down spot. The food was very good -- two pork, one grilled chicken, and one steak sandwich - and abundant! There were only 2 ladies working at first, and they were a bit overwhelmed. Given the Cuban coffees being... read more

It was not easy to find Cuban food in Marathon Key, surprisingly. This place was a welcome find and is conveniently located right alongside the highway.

We ordered carry out and our food was mixed. Kinda like in Havana, where we have been. We got the tostones with shrimp, which we liked, the chopped beef with peppers, which we did not, and the shredded pork which was terrific. Two sides were on offer with each meal, but we love rice and beans, so we doubled up... More

Marathon, Florida is not a big city, and la Nina is not a big affair. Walk into the small, friendly place and you will be surprised with the variety of food --mostly Cuban-- that you can have. Order, and you will be nicely surprised with the quality of the food. No wonder that we saw a good crowd there whenever... More

Traditional Cuban food. They have excellent chicken and pork dishes that we have sampled. Reasonably priced. No frills interior but clean great service. We will be back.

Had lunch there today Great Cuban sandwiches and the bread they're served on is wonderful. It's small but definitely worth stopping!

This is truly a hole-in-the-wall to treasure. It is not in the best part of town but it serves authentic, home made, very flavorful meals. Tostones and maduros were amazing. Not much room for seating in doors and there is a single picnic table under some power lines outside. If your looking for a quick lunch or even breakfast this... More
