Unusual menu, but good!

This is a strange little place. It is a seafood market, bar and restaurant squeezed into a small building, the menu is strange, it's like a German restaurant married a Seafood restaurant and gave birth to a mixed breed! Fresh food, nice menu, with daily specials too! I've eaten here several times and never disappointed with my choice. I haven't bought from the market, but large choice of seafood, hand cut meat and homemade sausage.

Fish Tales has fresh, beautiful fish for very reasonable prices. Their crab stuffing was amazing and a single pound was enough to stuff baby peppers fro appetizers two nights in a row.

Three of us ate here and all were pleased. The fish, and the shrimp, were nicely prepared; the fried foods especially benefited from the thin crisp batter. The server was especially sweet, and pleasant to deal with. The decor is pretty plain, and the restaurant sits right next to the highway, but ambiance is the last thing I am interested... More

Its the type of place that locals might like. There is a fish/meat market to the right and a few restaurant tables to the left. We were a little rushed because the place closed at 6:30 pm, which we didn't know, and we got there at 6:15 for dinner. Food was fair. The fried clams were good but not great.... More

An authentic fresh fish shop and restaurant. Great Stone Crab and lobster. 'Rustic' in the Keys' sense but all part of the charm. Nothing fancy: just good food, well cooked and reasonably priced. Order at the counter and then enjoy.

My husband gets the Keywest Platter and goes back again during the same trip to have it. It's not on the menu but might be worth asking about. I've had several dishes and every one is excellent. One of our favorite places in The keys.

We found this little market/eatery as we were cruising down the highway looking for a place to buy some seafood. The place is cozy and decorated with fisherman type signs such as "the later the story, the bigger the fish". I had a stone crab cake and Cuban rice and beans. Both were absolutely delicious- the large crab cake had... More

What place! They had about 6-8 beers on tap. The menu is varied with something for everyone. Although I went intending to get fish, they had beef stroganoff and I couldn't resist after our waitress who spoke with a Russian accent told me it was fabulous and she was right. The rest of the party had fish tacos and coconut... More
