This place is alllll about fresh seafood. A quirky, fun little place. We fished on lady Marathon, walked over with our fresh catch and handed it to the chef...it was amazing!!!!! Half was fried to perfection, the other half was blackened to perfection! Great service, rubbing elbows with the locals. Can't wait to go back!

The fish was very fresh and a good buy for the money. We had grilled and fried mahi mahi sandwich, and it was less than $25, including drinks. Very light, flaky fresh fish. A good quality place.

We are in Marathon on vacation and I found this restaurant on TripAdvisor. We went for lunch today. We ordered a burger, shrimp, and beer battered grouper. All was very good! The grouper was delicious. Service was fast and good. The only negative was the key lime pie we ordered for desert was still frozen. Other than that it was... More

Thank you for taking the time to review Fish Tales. We're very glad you were happy with your meal!!! We're only unhappy that you didn't like your key lime pie....and wanted to explain... About our Key Lime Pie...we make the pie in house, using fresh key limes from our trees, make our own crust & our unique recipe is "frozen"... More

Once again, the whole family has to eat at Fish Tales when visiting Marathon. Being a primarily a seafood market first and a restaurant second, don't expect a great view or atmosphere. What you can expect is some the best prepared and best tasting fresh local caught seafood anywhere in the Keys. If you are conch fritter fan, they are... More

Fish Tales is a family run restaurant with great food and service. They have amazing daily specials as well as traditional fish sandwiches and meals. We've been coming to Fish Tales , regularly, for over 2 years and it never disappoints. Amber will give you excellent personal service. Don't miss it on your trip to Marathon

We went for a long 6 mile walk and got caught in a rainstorm. Stopped here to eat lunch and couldn't be happier . The mahi Mahdi grilled or blackened was amazing. The key lime pie was the best of the keys!

We stopped in here just before getting on a fishing tour on the marathon lady. We got two fish sandwiches to go and they were amazing and massive. We also got some of the home made salas and cornchips which were also great. Service was good and we had a good chat to the owner whilst waiting for our food.... More

Service was bad and food was not that good. Parking is free and you can sit outside if you like. Not going back.

Good morning...we're very sorry that you had a bad experience at our restaurant?! I don't really know how to respond as I don't know what you had to eat, or when you came in. I will say that our servers are the best around and we never get any bad reviews on them, so not sure what happened? And we... More

If you like great fish at a great price, Fish Tales is the PLACE to Go. I spent 3 times the cost at other restaurants in the area and had just average fish. Don't forget the Key Lime Pie. They make it right there and WONT SHARE THE RECIPIE! :( I tried to get it but no luck. Love this... More
