The original definition of a restaurant used to be: owners cooking for their guests and extending the personal touch to their time at the joint, serving great food, wines, beers and having personal conversations, time allowing. That's why they come back! And that's what we attempt to do every evening that we serve dinner. Our great servers get to know you and handle the conversation when we are frankly too busy to leave the kitchen at times. After 21 years of service, I think we are going to make it!! Thank you to all that have graced our little spot over years, thanks a million!! Lance and Jan Hill, Chefs/Owners (and by the way, we love kids, have a few of our own, and provide a special menu just for them!) Please check Victoria Shearer's new book that just came out: Florida Keys & Key West Chef's Table, to grab a recipe or two :) Our menu is updated and printed daily. As a side note: we are not the least expensive restaurant in town, nor are we the most expensive. We provide an honest example of the expense to this site for your comparison (unlike some). And the menu is hung just outside the front door. We do not automatically add a gratuity as routine. In this life I've found, you truly get what you pay for. At Barracuda Grill we respect that adage, respect your business and attempt to earn it every night we offer service (Thursday thru Saturday). PS. We are in the twilight of our cooking careers and look forward to serving you very soon!

Absolutely loved this small restaurant

This was the last restaurant we tried on our trip and nearly didn't go because of the weather, glad we did though. We had a wonderful meal. We shared the rack of lamb that wasn't cheap at 55 dollars but the portion size was very generous so it was perfect. Would definitely recommend this lovely... read more

This was my husband's choice for my birthday dinner. It was great. The food was delicious and the beef melted in my mouth. The service was outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We arrived as the restaurant opened at 5:55pm, given that they do not take reservations. We were the third table seated and by the time we left, one hour later, there were no more tables available! I wanted soup, and even though none were listed on the daily printed menu, the waitress offered the cream of tomato soup- absolutely the... More

Maybe I'm missing something but the great praise lavished on this place seems a bit over the top. The variety offered was similar to many restaurants in this part of the world. The food was not so special - the wings, for example, were slathered in a sauce that could have come in a bottle straight off the shelf of... More

We went as a family of four and had an amazing experience from beginning to end. Katia our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and funny. We ordered four different entrees: the mussels special, the chicken wings, the duck, and the yellow tailed snapper, they were all spectacular! For dessert we had the artisnal salted caramel ice cream which was delicious. The... More

Jan, Lance, servers and staff continue to set the standard ever-higher in Marathon, FL! We've spent many a night at their tables (and via carry out!) over the years and always left more than satisfied and looking to return. This time (1/16) it was the unannounced mussels and sauce, oriental chicken wings, "special" caper berries and locally-caught snapper and grouper... More

Visit every year when down in Jan. No reservations, believe if you have a large party they will work w/you. The are only open Wed-Sat 5:55 to 9. We last visited on a Thurs, were in parking lot and when they started seating we were 1 of 3 parties. They do have about 12 tables on a patio at front... More

It was a great week to be in the Fabulous Florida Keys and not Washington, D.C.. With over two feet of snow falling on your town, I saw on tv many of those Congress folk running to the airport to escape town. Geez, I bet not much gets done this week :)) And for all your thoughtful reviews over the... More

My two friends and I had a really great dinner on January 14th. It was a wonderful experience right from the start when a really nice hostess sat us. Then we had Katie as our wait person and she was really sweet, knowledgable and very accomodating. We shared a huge appetizer of Asian dumplings which were delicious. Then I had... More

A small restaurant with a fairly limited menu but excellent quality food and good service. High quality dishes served well presented and big portions. Slightly overpriced compared to other higher end restaurants but enjoyable. Be careful: the linguine has a high garlic factor!!

This is fine dining in Marathon. The atmosphere is really nice and the service is outstanding. We've eaten at many restaurants in Marathon, and this one has the best food by far. The food is fresh and uniquely prepared, with delicious seafood dishes and vegetarian options as well. Other reviews have noted that it's not cheap to dine here, which... More
