The original definition of a restaurant used to be: owners cooking for their guests and extending the personal touch to their time at the joint, serving great food, wines, beers and having personal conversations, time allowing. That's why they come back! And that's what we attempt to do every evening that we serve dinner. Our great servers get to know you and handle the conversation when we are frankly too busy to leave the kitchen at times. After 21 years of service, I think we are going to make it!! Thank you to all that have graced our little spot over years, thanks a million!! Lance and Jan Hill, Chefs/Owners (and by the way, we love kids, have a few of our own, and provide a special menu just for them!) Please check Victoria Shearer's new book that just came out: Florida Keys & Key West Chef's Table, to grab a recipe or two :) Our menu is updated and printed daily. As a side note: we are not the least expensive restaurant in town, nor are we the most expensive. We provide an honest example of the expense to this site for your comparison (unlike some). And the menu is hung just outside the front door. We do not automatically add a gratuity as routine. In this life I've found, you truly get what you pay for. At Barracuda Grill we respect that adage, respect your business and attempt to earn it every night we offer service (Wednesday thru Saturday). PS. We are in the twilight of our cooking careers and look forward to serving you very soon!

We were staying in Marathon and decided to eat at the Barracuda Grill. WOW were we impressed. The server was Rachel who was extremely helpful and so informative. We started with the shrimp bites, which had bacon, maple syrup and lots of shrimp. This dish alone was the best I have ever had. I then had the crispy duck and... More

The rack of lamb is incredible, so tender and cooked to perfection. if youre into spicy, the calimari appetizer with the shrimp is awesome. Small place, get there early!

Read the reviews and decided we had to try! They are only open for a few hours a night so we made sure we got there when they first opened. My husband had the Black Grouper and I had the scallops with pesto pasta. Both dishes were cooked to perfection. The service was also very good. We would recommend to... More

To me nothing is more pleasurable in a vacation than coming in from a day outdoors, relaxing, showering and dressing for an evening out. It is an ultimate treat for me. Such was the way the evening began on my visit to Barracuda Grill. The place is so inviting even from the street with its bright white building and tropical... More

I'm breaking my wife's rule, "please do not reply to Trip Advisor after midnight". :) I think on Twitter I'd like to start a best/worst Trip Advisor review page etc. But I'm sure some restaurant nerd has already done that (could someone tell me of it please). Anyway, gal from Dallas, your's would be there for sure. It was a... More

We had the braised short ribs and the scallops with pesto. The mashed potatoes were declared the best ever, and the scallops were perfectly spiced. Portions were huge. Even the brownie sundae was fantastic. Will definitely be back on our next visit to they keys.

As a Florida Keys local I’ve frequented nearly every restaurant in town, for some reason I had not experienced Baracuda Grill, boy was I missing out! I decided to take my girlfriend out for a date night in Marathon, we had the wish to try something new, so we stopped in at the Barracuda Grill, and we were pleasantly surprised.... More

Had read many many reviews on how good this place was, but not for us; I ended throwing up all night (escargot and mushrooms); not pleasant. And we didn't even eat our duck - which was confit - and I hate confit duck. I explicitly asked many times about the herbs and the way things were cooked because I hate... More

I've read your crass review. Knew it was probably coming from the kitchen chit chat that I was hearing that night about your comments table side. My entire staff is educated about duck confit now. But to the point: your server over compensated for the duck (which you ate) while you were at the restaurant. You raved about other parts... More

We were staying in Duck Key for the week (June 17-20) and another couple at our resort recommended the restaurant to us and we are so happy they did. We were greeted by Kat at the door while my daughter (7yrs) and I were looking at the menu- she was very friendly and welcoming. We (2 adults and 2 kids)... More

Our family of five enjoyed apps and meals and desserts here on the patio. Great fresh food with nice spice. Rachel the server is great!
