The original definition of a restaurant used to be: owners cooking for their guests and extending the personal touch to their time at the joint, serving great food, wines, beers and having personal conversations, time allowing. That's why they come back! And that's what we attempt to do every evening that we serve dinner. Our great servers get to know you and handle the conversation when we are frankly too busy to leave the kitchen at times. After 21 years of service, I think we are going to make it!! Thank you to all that have graced our little spot over years, thanks a million!! Lance and Jan Hill, Chefs/Owners (and by the way, we love kids, have a few of our own, and provide a special menu just for them!) Please check Victoria Shearer's new book that just came out: Florida Keys & Key West Chef's Table, to grab a recipe or two :) Our menu is updated and printed daily. As a side note: we are not the least expensive restaurant in town, nor are we the most expensive. We provide an honest example of the expense to this site for your comparison (unlike some). And the menu is hung just outside the front door. We do not automatically add a gratuity as routine. In this life I've found, you truly get what you pay for. At Barracuda Grill we respect that adage, respect your business and attempt to earn it every night we offer service (Thursday thru Saturday). PS. We are in the twilight of our cooking careers and look forward to serving you very soon!

Best Dining in Marathon

This was a birthday dinner, so we wanted a good experience, and we got it! I had called the night before and was told seating shouldn't be a problem between 6-6:30pm, so we arrived mid way. They were busy already, but we had a choice of tables, so selected one at the back of the room. After... read more

We had the pork shank and the duck. Both were very good. The blue cheese on the salad was real and excellent. However, the prices were well beyond what we find normal in the major city where we live. The place was packed with folks waiting, so prices must not be an issue beyond us. Also, it was one of... More

There's eating and DINING. The Barracuda Grill is definitely a DINING experience. We had Katie as a server and were totally impressed. Everything was perfect. The menu is different every day but you can be assured that everything is supurb. We had Yellowtail with mango which was super, but what blew us away was an appetizer called "Hot and Spicy... More

The restaurant itself is very nice, and the staff is most helpful. However, some items listed on the menu were designated as "spicy." Being uncomfortable with that, I ordered steamed mussels. Having had these several times in Belgium, I was surprised to find them very spicy. This was not mentioned on the manu. The appetizer (warm brie with sauce) was... More

This was the last restaurant we tried on our trip and nearly didn't go because of the weather, glad we did though. We had a wonderful meal. We shared the rack of lamb that wasn't cheap at 55 dollars but the portion size was very generous so it was perfect. Would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant.

This was my husband's choice for my birthday dinner. It was great. The food was delicious and the beef melted in my mouth. The service was outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We arrived as the restaurant opened at 5:55pm, given that they do not take reservations. We were the third table seated and by the time we left, one hour later, there were no more tables available! I wanted soup, and even though none were listed on the daily printed menu, the waitress offered the cream of tomato soup- absolutely the... More

Maybe I'm missing something but the great praise lavished on this place seems a bit over the top. The variety offered was similar to many restaurants in this part of the world. The food was not so special - the wings, for example, were slathered in a sauce that could have come in a bottle straight off the shelf of... More

We went as a family of four and had an amazing experience from beginning to end. Katia our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and funny. We ordered four different entrees: the mussels special, the chicken wings, the duck, and the yellow tailed snapper, they were all spectacular! For dessert we had the artisnal salted caramel ice cream which was delicious. The... More
