Consistently great!

I suppose I take it for granted that Kaiyo is one of Islamorada's finest offerings when it comes to cuisine. As a local, I've been known to frequent this eatery in the off season at least once a week. In season-good luck getting a table without a reservation-even if you 'know someone.' The... read more

They cooked our freshly caught yellow Tail snapper - Wood Fire Grilled - it was excellent! The sushi was outstanding, the key lime tower dessert very good too!

This place is fantastic! It sounds like it could be only sushi but it offers so much more! I think it should be described as island fusion. Many choices of land or sea. We had the scallops which were the best we have ever had! For dessert, we had their key lime parfait and it was incredible!

We had a great time at Kaiyo! They appeared a bit stand offish at first but loosened up after we got settled. We ordered a bottle of wine, the mussels and clams and the smoke wahoo dip to get started. Wow, that dip! It is the most amazing twist on the otherwise ordinary dip. It's spicy but I love spicy!... I didn't expect to find good Japanese food in the keys. The service was efficient and the food was delicious. If you're in the mood for Sushi or Sashimi this is the place to go - you won't be disappointed.

I recently dined here with friends for dinner. We had come thinking of having sushi. The atmosphere is charming, but parking was in short supply as Highway 1 was very busy on a Saturday night. Our waitress was well informed of the menu and all of us elected fish specials over the sushi. Wahoo was excellent as was a fish... More

Locals have been recommending this place for years and we're glad we finally got to try it. We usually like to dine someplace where there is a water view when we are in the Keys and although there is outdoor seating on their lovely deck, there is no view. We started with a Smoked Wahoo appetizer, which was very unique,... More

So many varieties of local fish and sushi, good wine value, very good service...packed on a Monday night probably tells you the locals love it too
