We've vacationed in Islamorada for several years and now own a place. We have eaten at at least a dozen places during that time. Uncle (Joe's) consistently provides well made cocktails, a very nice wine list and fresh, properly prepared entrees. more

I am a local, who has dined many times at Uncle's. They specialize in local sea food, steaks, chops-etc. Their menu is extensive and average plate cost range $23-$35. Our last two visits was very disappointing. Service is terrible, slow and not detailed oriented. Could not get beverage refills after asking several time. This occurred when the were very slow.......... more

Had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant on the advice of a guy named Captain Lasagna who I met while I was in Utah. The bartender was magnificent, a fellow by the name of Magic Tony. He is worth the visit alone. If you get the chance to stop by , be sure to see Tony. more

We had dinner at Uncle's on a recent Christmas trip to the Keys. My entree, broiled lobster stuffed with scallops and shrimp was not very good. The shrimp tasted rubbery and frozen. The scallops were defintely old and a little bit fishy tasting. Which was very strange because I had a scallop appetizer special which was great. My fiance's Yellow... more

My husband surprised me with a spa weekend at Cheeco Lodge & Spa. We asked the concierge for recommendations on where to eat. She suggested Uncles. When we pulled up, I will admit I wanted to go elsewhere. The outside looks a little run down. Not bad though. My husband suggested going in and looking at the menu and then... more

My family has visited Islamorada for 17 straight years and have eaten in virtually every restaurant on the island. Uncle's is by the far the best place to dine. Start with a drink at the outside bar, hosted by Tony, who will amaze you with his magic tricks. More than likely the owner (Joe) will bid you welcome as you... more

3 families traveled to islamorada the last week in March, 2006. Our resort recommended Uncles and we were not disappointed. We were a large group of 13, so they asked us to come early. We have a 6'o'clock reservation. They were not busy. Nice atmosphere, heaters when its' cold. It was not. My daughter and I ordered shrimp and scallops... more

We went to Islamorada for a long weekend in January 2006. After doing extensive research on restaurants, we picked Uncles because it is supposedly known for its bouillabaisse. The evening started lovely. We had drinks and appetizers which were quite good along with the salad. Then our entrees came. My partner had ordered the bouillabaisse. The fish and lobster was... more
