High prices, limited menu

Nice Restaurant in the Cheeca Lodge. Limited menu but good food. Higher price level! Were there two times. To go a third time the menu is not interesting enough.

We had both lunches and breakfasts while staying at the associated Cheeca Lodge. Although the food was not anything to write home about, it was nicely presented by a friendly, and attentive waitstaff. In particular, we enjoyed our Huevos Rancheros and the smoked salmon with cream cheese, bagel, and accruements for breakfast. Lunch offerings that we liked included the burgers,... More

Three of us drove to Cheeca for lunch at the outside bar. The bar is a mess. Two of six fans worked. The speakers are ancient. The bar smelled awful, like stale beer. All bartenders short poured all the alcoholic drinks. The conch fritters had no conch in them. The food took way too long to serve and was cold.... More

So we ate there for 3 days.. Our last day the hostess wrote our room on her hand and told to wait till she could find a table and we saw there were like 5 tables free, but we waited then after 10 minutes we told her that 2 more people were going to join our table so she told... More

Undercooked steaks, smells of garbage on the patio. This is actually just the hotels kitchen with a different menu thats more expensive, its all the same kitchen and cooks and products. Prepare for a undercooked, in fact bloody, raw steak, slow service, even by keys standards, and subpar wine trickery. The waiter thinks i didn't notice the bottle of wine he... More

The service is outstanding we had a party of 11 most had the Surf and Turf which was excellent. The New York Strip served on a cast iron platter was very good as well. Prices are reasonable for a restaurant of this caliber.

Food was decent but nothing to write home about. We had salmon and grouper and the best thing about them was the lobster potatoes they put underneath the fish. The fish was good but the price was a little steep compared to some of the dive fish shacks down the street that could cook up the same.

Everyone had great meals. Not one complaint from this group of 11. The service was spot on. The dessert was wonderful. Just go and eat at this restaurant since you're staying at the Cheeca!
